Quranic positive spirituality meaning

it means to control rather than kill one's desire. apa, i could not understand the term of intellectual discipline. kindly explain what is intellectual discipline. yahi samajh mein aa raha hai ke tasawwuf mein yeh mana jata tha ke khuda ka jo hai marifat woh heart ke zariye se hoti hai.

to woh Maulana kehte hain ke woh mind ke zariye se hoti hai. har baat ko bohat hi zyada intellectual discipline, bohat zyada ghor o fikr ke zariye se. to har baat ko jo khuda ki jo kainat mein nishaniyan hain, hamari body mein nishaniyan hain, jo insaan ka wajood hai, us mein jo nishaniyan hain, us mein hum ko reason out karke us ko samajhna hai, us ko intellectually us ko samajhna hai. na yeh ke ek band kamre mein baith kar sirf tasbeeh padhna hai aur us ko kuch alfaaz ka wird karna hai, balkeh in alfaaz ko intellectually reason ke zariye
