True Meaning of Kafir and Jihad

maulana, yeh sawal pune se kiya hai Mr Waqas Mehra ne. unhon ne likha hai: "maulana, i have been meaning to ask this question for a long time. there are two words frequently used in Islam that are very distorted and almost abusive, which is kafir and jihad. as i understand it, kafir means a non believer and was used by the prophet at a time when there were large number of non believers when he was trying to spread his teachings in Arabia. question is if it was a contextual term, why is it being so fiercely used today in our society, especially when it is likely to hurt sentiments of non muslim people, hindus in particular,

and its wrong use is also giving a wrong interpretation of Islam, which as a religion is all inclusive. should the word not be kept out of daily usage, or on the other hand, does it actually really mean to show idol worshippers of today, mainly hindus, also in bad light? i shall appreciate your views. dekhiye, is par mein ne bohat tafseel se likha hai, aap is ko parh sakte hain. aam taur par musalman yeh samajhte hain ke dunya mein do qaumein hain, ek kafir qaum, ek muslim qaum. yeh bilkul hi be silsila hai, har giz har giz yeh sahi nahin hai.

koi Islam ka ta'alluq qaum se nahin hai, is tarah kafir ka ta'alluq kisi qaum se nahin hai. yeh aadmi ka apna ek behaviour hai jis se koi shakhs momin banta hai ya kafir banta hai. yeh individual word hai, individual. to kafir ke lafzi ma'ane hain inkaar karne wala, Khuda ke baaton ka inkaar karne wala. koi bhi shakhs jo inkaar kare, woh kafir ho jaye ga Allah ki nazar mein.

hamare kisi ko yeh haq nahi ke fatwa de ke mister so and so kaafir hai. agar koi fatwa de to woh bhi galat kaam hai. kisi ko yeh right nahi hai ke fatwa de ke mister so and so kaafir. yahan tak ke khud musalmanon ke bare mein yeh lafz istemal hua hai hadith mein. hadith mein istemal hua hai: "la turjau ba'di kuffaraidru ba'dukum riqaba ba'd" ke mere baad tum kaafir na ho jana. musalmanon ke bare mein Allah taala ne farmaya, woh musalmanon ko rasool Allah salallaho alaihi wasallam ne farmaya: "la turjau ba'di kuffaraidru ba'dukum riqaba ba'd" ke tum rasool Allah ne farmaya ke tum log mere baad kaafir na ho jana

ke aapas mein ek doosre ko qadar karne lago. kya tum musalmanon ko mein bataya ke musalman bhi kaafir ho sakte hain? to kaafir na koi qaum hai, na musalman koi qaum hai. aadmi ka apna jo jo uski jo apni ideology hai, uska jo life style hai, uska jo behavior hai, uska jo jis bar code ko ikhtiyar karta hai, woh in sab se mil kar koi shakhs muslim banta hai ya kaafir banta hai, woh bhi Allah ki nazar mein, duniya mein nahi. duniya mein to sab insaan hain, lekin duniya ke hisab se har insaan insaan hai. bas isi liye yeh jo lafz banaya gaya hai, baat ko banaya gaya hai ke "dar ul har" "dar ul kuffar", usko mein galat samajhta hoon.

"dar ul islam" "dar ul kuffar" ka term ko mein bilkul galat samajhta hoon. yeh baat ko banaya gaya hai. sahi term yeh hai ke "dar ul insaan" poori duniya "dar ul insaan" hai, bas aur kuch nahi. to unke zehen mein jo sawal hai, woh musalmanon ko le kar, unhon ne jo khud se jo bana liya hai, usko le kar ke jahan tak Quran o hadith ka taluq hai, aisa hargiz nahi hai. har insaan bas insaan hai,

aur yeh duniya na to "dar ul islam" hai, na "dar ul kuffar" hai. yeh duniya "dar ul insaan" hai. Quran mein dekhiye, aap bar bar "aya al insan" "aya al insan" "aya al insan" ke khitab ki ayat hai. to poori duniya mere nazdeek "dar ul insaan" hai, bas iske siwa aur kuch nahi hai. baqi jo kuch hai, woh Allah taala se hai. kya faisla hone wala hai duniya mein? nahi. maulana, unka ek aur sawal hai, unhon ne likha hai: "as i understand jihad, its a war with in my self to change my self, not a real war of destruction.
