أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَةٖ مِّن رَّبِّهِۦ وَيَتۡلُوهُ شَاهِدٞ مِّنۡهُ وَمِن قَبۡلِهِۦ كِتَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِمَامٗا وَرَحۡمَةًۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِهِۦۚ وَمَن يَكۡفُرۡ بِهِۦ مِنَ ٱلۡأَحۡزَابِ فَٱلنَّارُ مَوۡعِدُهُۥۚ فَلَا تَكُ فِي مِرۡيَةٖ مِّنۡهُۚ إِنَّهُ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يُؤۡمِنُونَ
So is one who [stands] upon a clear evidence from his Lord [like the aforementioned]? And a witness from Him follows it, and before it was the Scripture of Moses to lead and as mercy. Those [believers in the former revelations] believe in the Qur'an. But whoever disbelieves in it from the [various] factions - the Fire is his promised destination. So be not in doubt about it. Indeed, it is the truth from your Lord, but most of the people do not believe
When the Prophet Muhammad called upon the people of Arabia to accept the oneness of God, only a few individuals accepted it, while many rejected it. This is what happens in every period with the call to the Truth. God created every man with an upright nature as befits his human status. In every corner of the world, there are signs which proclaim the existence of his Creator and give indications of His creation scheme. Moreover, a long line of God’s prophets, one of whom was Moses, have been coming into the world, right from the beginning of the human era, to convey the divine message to man. The scripture brought by Moses is still extant in some form or the other. Now, one who is serious and sincere will have the ability to learn lessons from things, and will be so familiar with the Truth that, whenever a preacher presents the Truth to him, he will immediately recognise it. His heart and mind will bear testimony to that call of Truth; he will go ahead and readily adopt it, as if it were the very voice of his heart. But the condition of most people is that they do not look upon things with any great seriousness. They mar their lives by indulging in superficial show and ephemeral interests. Their being busy in unnecessary engagements never gives them the chance to pause and give thought to the missionary and his message. So when they are called to the Truth, they are unable to recognise it. Due to their perverted, spoiled temperament, they reject or even oppose it. Such are those who have failed to appreciate God and God’s scheme of creation. In the Hereafter, they shall have nothing but the Fire of Hell in store for them. Human nature, the events occurring on earth or in the skies, as well as previous scriptures, all bear testimony to the Quran’s veracity. In spite of this, if the majority of people reject it, then the reason for this shall have to be sought in those who reject it, rather than in the pages of the Quran.
پیغمبر اسلام نے عرب میں توحید کی دعوت پیش کی تو کچھ لوگوں نے اس کو مانا اور زیادہ لوگ اس کے منکر ہوگئے۔ یہی ہر زمانہ میں دعوت حق کے ساتھ ہوتا رہا ہے۔
خدا نے ہر آدمی کو فطرتِ صحیح پر پیدا کیا ہے۔ گردو پیش کی دنیا میں ہر طرف ایسی نشانیاں پھیلی ہوئی ہیں جو اپنے خالق کا اعلان کرتی ہیں اور اسی کے ساتھ اس کے تخلیقی منصوبہ کی طرف اشارہ کررہی ہیں۔ پھر انسانیت کے بالکل ابتدائی زمانہ سے خدا کے رسول آتے رہے اور خدا کی باتیں لوگوں کو بتاتے رہے۔ انھیں میں سے ایک پیغمبر حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام ہیں۔ جن کی لائی ہوئی کتاب اب تک کسی نہ کسی شکل میں موجود ہے۔ اب جو شخص سنجیدہ ہو اور چیزوں سے سبق لینا جانتا ہو تو وہ حقیقت سے اتنا مانوس ہوگا کہ داعی جب اس کے سامنے حقیقت کا اعلان کرے گا تو فوراً وہ اس کو پہچان لے گا۔ اس کا دل اور اس کا دماغ حق کے حق ہونے پر گواہی دیں گے۔وہ آگے بڑھ کراس کو اس طرح اختیار کرلے گا جیسے وہ اس کے اپنے دل کی آواز ہو۔
مگر اکثر لوگوں کا حال یہ ہوتاہے کہ وہ چیزوں کو بہت زیادہ سنجیدگی کے ساتھ نہیں دیکھتے۔ وہ سطحی تماشوں اور وقتی دلچسپیوں میںپڑ کر اپنا مزاج بگاڑ لیتے ہیں۔ غیر متعلق چیزوں کی مصروفیت انھیں اس کا موقع نہیں دیتی کہ وہ داعی اور اس کی دعوت پر ٹھہر کر سوچیں۔ چنانچہ ان کے سامنے جب حق کی دعوت آتی ہے تو وہ اس کو پہچان نہیں پاتے۔ وہ اپنے بگڑے ہوئے مزاج کی بنا پر اس کے منکر بلکہ مخالف بن جاتے ہیں۔ یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنھوں نے خدا کی اور خدا کے تخلیقی منصوبہ کی ناقدری کی۔ ان کے لیے آخرت میں جہنم کی آگ کے سوا اور کچھ نہیں۔
انسانی فطرت، زمین وآسمان کے واقعات اور پچھلی آسمانی کتابیں قرآن کے حق ہونے کی گواہی دے رہی ہیں۔ اس کے بعد اگر لوگوں کی اکثریت اس کا انکار کرتی ہے تو اس کی وجہ منکرین کے اندر تلاش کی جائے گی، نہ یہ کہ خود قرآن کے کتاب حق ہونے پر شک کیا جائے۔
