قَدۡ مَكَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبۡلِهِمۡ فَأَتَى ٱللَّهُ بُنۡيَٰنَهُم مِّنَ ٱلۡقَوَاعِدِ فَخَرَّ عَلَيۡهِمُ ٱلسَّقۡفُ مِن فَوۡقِهِمۡ وَأَتَىٰهُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ مِنۡ حَيۡثُ لَا يَشۡعُرُونَ
Those before them had already plotted, but Allah came at their building from the foundations, so the roof fell upon them from above them, and the punishment came to them from where they did not perceive
When those who have attained a high status on a false basis, see the call for Truth gaining ground, they feel that their position is at risk. For the protection of their position, they adopt the strategy of spreading mischievous statements against the divine call in order to make people doubtful about it and desist from rallying to it. But the devices of such people against the call for Truth are never successful. The basic structures on which the opponents of Truth rely prove to be so weak that their roof literally caves in on them. Sometimes it happens that an earthquake shakes their foundations and causes their buildings to fall down on them. Sometimes their companions leave them and join the ranks of the truth-followers, so that in losing their supporters, they are compelled to surrender to the call of Truth. This end, in its final and perfect form, will appear on Doomsday when those who denied the truth will see their eternal degradation and will be helpless in the face of it.
جو لوگ جھوٹی بنیادوں پر بڑائی کا مقام حاصل کيے ہوئے ہیں، وہ جب کسی دعوتِ حق کو اٹھتا ہوا دیکھتے ہیں تو ان کو اپنے مقام کے لیے خطرہ محسوس ہونے لگتاہے۔ وہ اپنے مقام کے تحفظ کے لیے یہ تدبیر کرتے ہیں کہ دعوتِ حق کے خلاف ایسی فتنہ انگیز باتیں پھیلاتے ہیں جن سے عوام اس کے بارے میں مشتبہ ہوجائیں اور ا س کے گرد جمع نہ ہوسکیں۔
مگر دعوت حق کے خلاف ایسے لوگوں کی تدبیریں کبھی کامیاب نہیں ہوتیں۔ مخالفین حق اپنی جن بنیادوں پر بھروسہ کررہے تھے عین وہی بنیادیں اس طرح کمزور ثابت ہوتی ہیں کہ ان کی چھت ان کے اوپر گرپڑتی ہے۔ کبھی ایسا ہوتاہے کہ کوئی قدرتی زلزلہ ان کی بنیادوں کو ہلاکر ان کی تعمیرات کو ان کے اوپر گرادیتاہے۔ کبھی ان کے عوام ان کا ساتھ چھوڑ کر حق کی صفوں میں شامل ہوجاتے ہیں۔ اور اس طرح وہ اپنے مددگاروں کو کھو کر مجبور ہوجاتے ہیں کہ دعوتِ حق کے آگے ہتھیار ڈال دیں۔ یہ انجام اپنی آخری اور تکمیلی صورت میں قیامت میں سامنے آئے گا۔ جب کہ منکرین اپنی ابدی ذلت کو دیکھیں گے اور کچھ نہ کرسکیں گے۔
