وَلَهُۥ مَا فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَلَهُ ٱلدِّينُ وَاصِبًاۚ أَفَغَيۡرَ ٱللَّهِ تَتَّقُونَ
And to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him is [due] worship constantly. Then is it other than Allah that you fear
God has warned man through His prophets that he should not hold to any god except the one and only God. The God of this universe is only one. Man should fear only Him; he should be obedient to Him alone. If a man fully realizes that it is God who is the sole Creator and Lord of all, and that his life completely depends upon Him, the feeling that develops in him as a result of this realization is fear of God (taqwa). Eternal obedience is the due of God alone in this heaven and earth. Everything here is completely bound by divine law. In such a world, to pray to or to worship or to repose hope in anybody else is absolutely irrational. The present universe is such that it completely rejects polytheism or ascribing partners to God (shirk).
پیغمبروں کے ذریعہ خدا نے انسان کو اس سے ڈرایا ہے کہ وہ ایک معبود کے سوا دوسرے معبود اپنے لیے بنائے۔ اس کائنات کا معبود صرف ایک ہے۔ اسی سے آدمی کو ڈرنا چاہیے۔ اس کو صرف اسی کی تابع داری کرنا چاہیے۔
اگر آدمی کو اس بات کا صحیح ادراک ہوجائے کہ خدا ہی انسان کا اور تمام موجودات کا خالق ومالک ہے۔ اسی پر اس کی زندگی کا سارا دارومدار ہے تو اس ادراک کے لازمی نتیجہ کے طورپر جو کیفیت آدمی کے اندر پیدا ہوتی ہے اسی کا نام تقویٰ ہے۔
زمین وآسمان میں خدا ہی کی دائمی اطاعت ہے۔ یہاں ہر چیز مکمل طورپر قانونِ خداوندی میں جکڑی ہوئی ہے۔ ایک ایسی دنیا میں کسی اور کی عبادت کرنا یا کسی اور سے امید قائم کرنا بالکل بے بنیاد ہے۔ موجودہ کائنات ایسے شرک کو قبول کرنے سے سراسر انکار کرتی ہے۔
