وَيَجۡعَلُونَ لِلَّهِ مَا يَكۡرَهُونَۚ وَتَصِفُ أَلۡسِنَتُهُمُ ٱلۡكَذِبَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلۡحُسۡنَىٰۚ لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ لَهُمُ ٱلنَّارَ وَأَنَّهُم مُّفۡرَطُونَ
And they attribute to Allah that which they dislike, and their tongues assert the lie that they will have the best [from Him]. Assuredly, they will have the Fire, and they will be [therein] neglected
The main reason for man’s going astray is his underestimation of God, Lord of the Universe. Many wrong beliefs have come into existence because God was judged to be a lesser entity than He really is. It is the result of such underestimation of God that people, though believing in God, remain fearless of Him. They form the belief about very ordinary things that these will be a source of proximity to God and that all the bounties of the Hereafter will be allotted to them as their share. The belief is entertained that a thing which does not make even an ordinary man happy, will please God. This amounts to adding arrogance to wrongdoing, which can never be pardoned by God.
انسانی گمراہیوں کی بہت بڑی وجہ خدا کی خدائی کا کمتر اندازہ کرنا ہے۔ اکثر غلط عقائد اسی لیے بنے کہ خدا کو اس سے کم سمجھ لیاگیا جیسا کہ وہ حقیقۃً ہے۔ حتی کہ لوگوں کا حال یہ ہے کہ جو چیزیں کمتر سمجھ کر وہ خود اپنے لیے پسند نہیں کرتے (مثلاً بیٹیاں یااپنی مِلک میں کسی اجنبی کی شرکت)، اس کو بھی وہ خداکے لیے ثابت کرنے لگتے ہیں۔
خدا کے اسی کمتر اندازہ کا نتیجہ ہے کہ لوگ خدا پر عقیدہ رکھتے ہوئے خدا سے بے خوف رہتے ہیں۔ وہ نہایت معمولی معمولی چیزوں کے بارے میں یہ عقیدہ بنا لیتے ہیں کہ وہ ان کو خدا کی قربت دے دیں گی۔ اور آخرت کی تمام نعمتیں ان کے حصے میں لکھ دی جائیں گی۔ جو چیز ایک عام انسان کو بھی خوش نہیں کرسکتی اس کے متعلق یہ عقیدہ بنالیا جاتا ہے کہ وہ خداکو خوش کردے گی۔ اس قسم کی کوئی حرکت غلطی پر سرکشی کا اضافہ ہے جس کو خدا کبھی معاف نہیں کرسکتا۔
