وَيَوۡمَ نَبۡعَثُ فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٖ شَهِيدًا عَلَيۡهِم مِّنۡ أَنفُسِهِمۡۖ وَجِئۡنَا بِكَ شَهِيدًا عَلَىٰ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِۚ وَنَزَّلۡنَا عَلَيۡكَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ تِبۡيَٰنٗا لِّكُلِّ شَيۡءٖ وَهُدٗى وَرَحۡمَةٗ وَبُشۡرَىٰ لِلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ
And [mention] the Day when We will resurrect among every nation a witness over them from themselves. And We will bring you, [O Muhammad], as a witness over your nation. And We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims
It is the way of Almighty God that He entrusts the task of delivering warnings and of giving good news to a community through an individual selected from that very community. This is why the prophets who came to various communities were members of those communities. Now the Muslim community is required to fulfill the responsibilities of calling for the Truth and of testifying in every community till the Day of Judgement. The preachers of the various communities of this world will in the Hereafter be God’s witnesses or testifiers of those communities. It will be on the basis of their testimony that decisions will be made regarding the reward or punishment to be given to all individuals of the community. There are descriptions in the Quran of all matters of major moral and practical importance. Indeed, every revealed book which has come to mankind on behalf of God has contained such descriptions. However, the main focus is not on worldly knowledge, but on success or failure in the Hereafter. This is true of the Quran, which lays down broad principles covering the entire range of conduct which will lead to success in the Hereafter. (Neglect of these principles will lead to failure.) Those who are guided by them will merit divine blessings, while those who neglect them will only give grounds for their own destruction.
اللہ تعالیٰ کا طریقہ یہ ہے کہ کسی قوم پر انذار و تبشیر کا کام خود اس قوم کے کسی منتخب فرد کے ذریعہ انجام دلاتا ہے۔ یہی وجہ ہے کہ کسی قوم میں جو پیغمبر آئے وہ خود اسی قوم کے ایک فرد تھے۔ اب امت مسلمہ کو قیامت تک اسی طرح ہر قوم کے اندر دعوت وشہادت کی ذمہ داری انجام دینا ہے۔
یہ دنیا میں قوموں کو دعوت دینے والے آخرت میں قوموں کے اوپر خدا کے گواہ ہوں گے۔ انھیں کی گواہی پر قوم کے ہر فرد کے لیے ثواب یا عذاب کا فیصلہ کیا جائے گا۔
قرآن میں ہر چیز کا بیان ہے— اس کا مطلب یہ نہیں کہ دوسری آسمانی کتابوں میں ہر چیز کا بیان نہ تھا۔ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ ہر آسمانی کتاب جو خدا کی طرف سے آئی اس میں ہر چیز کا بیان موجودتھا۔ تاہم اس ہر چیز کا تعلق دنیا کے علوم وفنون سے نہیں ہے بلکہ آخرت کی کامیابی اور ناکامی کے علم سے ہے۔ وہ تمام چیزیں جو آخرت میں کسی کو کامیاب یا ناکام بنانے والی ہیں وہ سب اصولی طورپر قرآن میں بیان کردی گئی ہیں۔ اب جو لوگ اس سے ہدایت لیں گے، ان کے لیے وہ ایک عظیم نعمت بن جائے گی۔ اور جو لوگ اس سے ہدایت نہ لیں ان کے حصہ میں صرف یہ آئے گا کہ وه اس کا انکار کرکے اپنی ہلاکت کے لیے وجہ جواز فراہم کردیں۔
