أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمۡ وَلِقَآئِهِۦ فَحَبِطَتۡ أَعۡمَٰلُهُمۡ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمۡ يَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ وَزۡنٗا
Those are the ones who disbelieve in the verses of their Lord and in [their] meeting Him, so their deeds have become worthless; and We will not assign to them on the Day of Resurrection any importance
Man strives in this world and observes that, as a result, he gains wealth and honour. He does not see his work marred in any manner, therefore, he considers himself a successful man. But, this is highly irrational. In the plan of God, the criterion of a successful life is in terms of the life of the Hereafter. Therefore, to consider success in this worldly life as real success amounts to taking a view of life which omits the life hereafter altogether. This is tantamount to substituting our own plan in place of God’s plan and obviously those who do so can never be successful in the life hereafter. God reveals His signs. But these signs of the life hereafter have no effect on those whose minds are preoccupied with the thoughts of this world. God discloses His arguments, but the arguments of the life hereafter do not appeal to those who are lost in the affairs of this world. Such people fail to accept guidance, even though they may be standing next to a guide. If they do not give any weight to God’s word, how can they expect God to take their candidature into account for any divine consideration?
آدمی دنیا میں عمل کرتاہے۔ وہ دیکھتا ہے کہ اس کے عمل کا نتیجہ عزت اور دولت کی صورت میں اس کو مل رہا ہے۔ اپنا کوئی کام اس کو بگڑتا ہوا نظر نہیں آتا۔ وہ سمجھ لیتا ہے کہ میں کامیاب ہوں۔
مگر یہ سراسر نادانی ہے۔ خدا کے نقشہ میں زندگی کی کامیابی کا معیار آخرت ہے۔ ایسی حالت میں دنیا کی ترقی کو ترقی سمجھنا خدا کے نقشہ کے خلاف اپنا نقشہ بنانا ہے۔ یہ آخرت کو حذف کرکے زندگی کے مسئلہ کو دیکھنا ہے۔ ظاہر ہے ایسے لوگ کبھی کامیاب نہیں ہوسکتے۔
خدا اپنی نشانیاں ظاہر کرتا ہے۔ مگر جو لوگ اپنے ذہن کو دنیا میں لگائے ہوئے ہوں وہ آخرت کی نشانیوں سے متاثر نہیں ہوتے۔ خدا اپنے دلائل کھولتا ہے مگر جو لوگ دنیا کی باتوں میں گم ہوں ان کو آخرت کی دلیلیں اپیل نہیں کرتیں۔ ایسے لوگ ہدایت کے کنارے کھڑے ہو کر بھی ہدایت کو قبول کرنے سے محروم رہتے ہیں۔ انھوںنے خدا کی باتوں کو وزن نہیں دیا۔ پھر کیسے ممکن ہے کہ خدا ان کو اپنے یہاں کسی وزن کا مستحق سمجھے۔
