إِنَّ فِي خَلۡقِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَٱخۡتِلَٰفِ ٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱلۡفُلۡكِ ٱلَّتِي تَجۡرِي فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ بِمَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن مَّآءٖ فَأَحۡيَا بِهِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ بَعۡدَ مَوۡتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٖ وَتَصۡرِيفِ ٱلرِّيَٰحِ وَٱلسَّحَابِ ٱلۡمُسَخَّرِ بَيۡنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَعۡقِلُونَ
Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allah has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and the earth are signs for a people who use reason
The vast universe spread out before us serves as a magnificent introduction to God. The existence of a limitless world in the form of the earth and the heavens is a proof that there must be a Creator behind it. Despite apparently different and contrasting elements, all things work together in absolute harmony, showing that their Creator and Sustainer is the one and only God. Then the fact that every single thing benefits the rest of the universe, in some manner or the other, shows that all things have been designed according to a definite and absolutely conscious plan. Apparently lifeless objects are invested with life through a natural process: this shows that death is only a temporary phase in this universe. Here death is always followed by new life. Every variety of animate creature flourishes in this world in huge numbers. All are being sustained by varied forms of the same food and drink, indicating the unfathomable power of God. The atmosphere totally encompassing the earth shows that man’s life is entirely in his Creator’s hands. Everything in this universe has been tamed to cater to man’s needs. This is indicative of the fact that man’s Creator is a highly compassionate being. Even before an individual has been born into the world, all his requirements have already been taken care of. The presence of all these signs in the universe are reflections of the Creator in His creation. The universe displays God’s very existence and His oneness on a vast scale; it is an amalgam of every aspect of perfection, so that no one with any vision or even a grain of intelligence can fail to discover Him in it. But these signs, spread all over the universe, serve as proofs of God’s existence and His role as sustainer of the entire universe, only to one who sincerely reflects on these signs. For, to be able to arrive at the truth, one has to be sincere in one’s search for it, and one has to rise above worldly considerations before drawing one’s conclusions. This can be achieved only by total absorption, not in externals, but in the search for the inner reality that lies beneath the outward surface of things.
انسان کا خدا ایک ہی خدا ہے اور وہی اس قابل ہے کہ وہ انسان کی توجہات کا مرکز بنے۔ ہمارا وجود اور وہ سب کچھ جو ہم کو زمین پر حاصل ہے وہ اسی ليے ہے کہ ہمارا یہ خدا رحمتوں اور مہربانیوں کا خزانہ ہے۔ آدمی کو چاہيے کہ اس کو حقیقی معنوں میں اپنا معبود بنائے۔ وہ اسی کے لیے جيے اور اسی کے لیے مرے اور اپنی تمام امیدوں اور تمناؤں کو ہمیشہ کے لیے اسی کے ساتھ وابستہ کردے۔ جس طرح ایک چھوٹا بچہ اپنا سب کچھ صرف اپنی ماں کو سمجھتا ہے اسی طرح خدا انسان کے لیے اس کا سب کچھ بن جائے۔
ہمارے سامنے پھیلی ہوئی کائنات اللہ کا ایک عظیم الشان تعارف ہے۔ زمین وآسمان کی صورت میں ایک اتھاہ کارخانہ کا موجود ہونا ظاہر کرتاہے کہ ضروراس کا کوئی بنانے والا ہے۔ طرح طرح کے ظاہری اختلاف اور تضاد کے باوجود تمام چیزوں کا حد درجہ ہم آہنگی کے ساتھ کام کرنا ثابت کرتاہے کہ اس کا خالق و مالک صرف ایک ہے۔ کائنات کی چیزوں میں نفع بخشی کی صلاحیت ہونا گویا اس بات کا اعلان ہے کہ اس کی منصوبہ بندی کامل شعور کے تحت بالارادہ کی گئی ہے۔ بظاہر بے جان چیزوں میں قدرتی عمل سے جان اور تازگی کا آجانا بتاتا ہے کہ کائنات میں موت محض عارضی ہے، یہاں ہر موت کے بعد لازماً دوسری زندگی آتی ہے۔ ایک ہی پانی اور ایک ہی خوراک سے قسم قسم کے جان داروں کا ان گنت تعداد میں پایا جانا اللہ کی بےحساب قدرت کا پتہ دیتاہے۔ ہوا کا مکمل طورپر انسان کو اپنے گھیرے میں ليے رہنا بتاتا ہے کہ انسان پوری طرح اپنے خالق کے قبضے میں ہے۔ کائنات کی تمام چیزوں کا انسانی ضرورت کے مطابق سدھا ہوا (customized)ہونا ثابت کرتاہے کہ انسان کا خالق ایک بے حد مہربان ہستی ہے، وہ اس کی ضروریات کا اہتمام اس وقت سے کررہا ہوتا ہے جب کہ اس کا وجود بھی نہیں ہوتا۔
کائنات میں اس قسم کی نشانیاں گویا مخلوقات کے اندر خالق کی جھلکیاں ہیں۔ وہ اللہ کی ہستی کا، اس کے ایک ہونے کا، اس کے تمام صفاتِ کمال کا جامع ہونے کا اتنے بڑے پیمانہ پر اظہار کررہی ہیں کہ کوئی آنکھ والا اس کو دیکھنے سے محروم نہ رہے اور کوئی عقل والا اس کو پانے سے عاجز نہ ہو — دلائل کو وہی شخص پاتا ہے جو دلائل پر غور کرتاہو۔ وہ سچائی کو جاننے کے معاملہ میں سنجیدہ ہو۔ وہ مصلحتوں سے اوپر اٹھ کر رائے قائم کرتاہو۔ وہ ظاہری چیزوں میںالجھ کر نہ رہ گیا ہو بلکہ ظاہری چیزوں کے پیچھے چھپی ہوئی اصل حقیقت کو جاننے کا حریص ہو۔
