۞إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَسۡتَحۡيِۦٓ أَن يَضۡرِبَ مَثَلٗا مَّا بَعُوضَةٗ فَمَا فَوۡقَهَاۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ فَيَعۡلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ ٱلۡحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّهِمۡۖ وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَآ أَرَادَ ٱللَّهُ بِهَٰذَا مَثَلٗاۘ يُضِلُّ بِهِۦ كَثِيرٗا وَيَهۡدِي بِهِۦ كَثِيرٗاۚ وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِهِۦٓ إِلَّا ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ
Indeed, Allah is not timid to present an example - that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, "What did Allah intend by this as an example?" He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient
Man’s first duty to God is to be true to the covenant made between the Creator and His creatures at the beginning of the world, namely, that man should remain God’s servant. Then, his conduct towards his fellow men should be such that all the ties that God has enjoined man to keep may be consolidated. Thirdly, man should not turn people away from following the divine call raised by one of God’s servants by inventing groundless arguments against it. The message of truth seeks to harmonize man with his own nature: those who prevent others from receiving it are guilty of spreading corruption in the land. God has created man from nothing. This is a favour great enough to make man completely surrender himself to God. But God has not just created man and left it at that: He has given him an earth made to suit his needs perfectly. But there is more to the matter than merely this. Immediately after his demise, he will be brought before the Lord of the Universe to be judged. This state of affairs demands that he devote himself entirely to God; that he remember and obey God throughout his life, forever remaining His humble servant. When the divine message is so clear and reasonable, why do people not accept it? The chief cause is unwillingness to learn. This manifests itself in various ways: deliberate denigration of God’s message, attempts to belittle it by finding flaws in it, or misrepresenting it as irrational or concerned with mere trivialities. One who is not willing to learn from sound advice does not think seriously about it. When some argument is presented to him, he looks at it superficially and sets about finding some shortcomings in it. But those who are willing to learn take the trouble to give those arguments serious thought and they do not take long to realize that they are faced with the truth. It does not make any difference to them that the truth has been explained in parables of mere gnats, and other equally insignificant creatures.
کسی بندہ کے اوپر اللہ کا سب سے پہلا حق یہ ہے کہ وہ عبدیت کے اس عہد کو نبھائے جو پیدا کرنے والے اور پیدا کیے جانے والے کے درمیان اول روز سے قائم ہوچکا ہے۔ پھر انسانوں کے درمیان وہ اس طرح رہے کہ وہ ان تمام رشتوں اور تعلقات کو پوری طرح استوار کیے ہوئے ہو جن کے استوار کیے جانے کا اللہ نے حکم دیا ہے۔ تیسری چیز یہ کہ جب خدا اپنے ایک بندے کی زبان سے اپنے پیغام کا اعلان کرائے تو اس کے خلاف بے بنیاد باتیں نکال کر خدا کے بندوں کو اس سےدور نه كيا جائے۔ حق کی دعوت دینا دراصل لوگوں کو فطری حالت پر لانے کی کوشش کرنا ہے،اس لیے جو شخص لوگوں کو اس سے روکتا ہے وہ زمین میں فساد ڈالنے کا مجرم بنتا ہے۔
اللہ کا یہ احسان کہ وہ آدمی کو عدم سے وجود میں لے آیا، اتنا بڑا احسان ہے کہ آدمی کو ہمہ تن اس کے آگے بچھ جانا چاہیے۔ پھر اللہ نے انسان کو پیداکرکے یونہی چھوڑ نہیں دیا بلکہ اس کو رہنے کے لیے ایک ایسی زمین دی جو اس کے لیے انتہائی طورپر موافق ڈھنگ سے بنائی گئی تھی۔ پھر بات صرف اتنی ہی نہیں ہے، بلکہ اس سے بہت آگے کی ہے۔ انسان ہر وقت اس نازک امکان کے کنارے کھڑا ہوا ہے کہ اس کی موت آجائے اور اچانک وہ مالک کائنات کے سامنے حساب کتاب کے لیے پیش کردیا جائے۔ ان باتوں کا تقاضا ہے کہ آدمی ہمہ تن اللہ کا ہو جائے، اس کی یاد اور اس کی اطاعت میں زندگی گزارے۔ ساری عمر وہ اس کا بندہ بنا رہے۔
پیغمبرانہ دعوت کے انتہائی واضح اور مدلّل ہونے کے باوجود کیوں بہت سے لوگ اس کو قبول نہیں کر پاتے۔ اس کی سب سے بڑی وجہ شوشه يا غير متعلق (irrelevant)بات نکالنے کا فتنہ ہے۔ آدمی کے اندر نصیحت پکڑنے کا ذہن نہ ہو تو وہ کسی بات کو سنجیدگی کے ساتھ نہیں لیتاایسے آدمی کے سامنے جب بھی کوئی دلیل آتی ہے تو وہ اس کو سطحی طورپر دیکھ کر ایک شوشہ ياغير متعلق بات نکال لیتا ہے۔ اس طرح وہ یہ ظاہر کرتا ہے کہ یہ دعوت کوئی معقول دعوت نہیں ہے۔ اگر وہ معقول دعوت ہوتی تو کیسے ممکن تھا کہ اس میں اس قسم کی بے وزن باتیں شامل ہوں۔ مگر جو نصیحت پکڑنے والے ذہن ہیں، جو باتوں پر سنجیدگی سے غور کرتے ہیں، ان کو حق کے پہچاننے میں دیر نہیں لگتی، خواہ حق کو ’’مچھر‘‘ جیسی مثالوں ہی میں کیوںنہ بیان کیا گیا ہو۔
