لَوۡ أَرَدۡنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهۡوٗا لَّٱتَّخَذۡنَٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّآ إِن كُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ
Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so
Those who are not serious about the divine call, consider the present world as a plaything of God which has no purpose except temporal entertainment. But judging by the immense wisdom and meaningfulness underlying the working of the present world, it would appear to be impossible that the Creator of this world could be a being who has created it merely for the sake of diversion. In the present world, there is the special creation of God, namely, human beings, who by their very nature, have the ability to distinguish truth from falsehood. The existence in the world of such creatures, who can use their discretion and decide upon one path as that of truth and another as that of untruth, coupled with the frequent struggle between Truth and untruth, are all indications of the fact that a time is going to come when it will finally be clear as to what is really Truth and what is Untruth. And whoever sides with the Truth will attain success and whoever does not will be doomed to failure.
جو لوگ خدا کی دعوت کے بارے میں سنجیدہ نہ ہوں وہ گویا موجودہ دنیا کو ایک قسم کا خدائی کھلونا سمجھتے ہیں۔ جس کا وقتی تفریح کے سوا اور کوئی مقصد نہ ہو۔ مگر موجودہ دنیا اپنی بے پناہ حکمت ومعنویت کے ساتھ اپنے خالق کا جو تعارف کراتی ہے اس کے لحاظ سے یہ ناممکن معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ اس کا خالق کوئی ایسا خدا ہو جس نے اس دنیا کو محض کھیل کے طورپر بنایا ہو۔
موجودہ دنیا میں انسان جیسی انوکھی مخلوق ہے جس کی فطرت میں حق وباطل کی تمیز پائی جاتی ہے۔ دنیا میں ایسی مخلوق کا ہونا جو ایک طریقہ کو حق اور دوسرے طریقہ کو باطل سمجھے اور پھر حق وباطل کے نام پر بار بار مقابلہ پیش آنا ظاہر کرتاہے کہ یہاں کوئی ایسا وقت آنے والا ہے جب کہ آخری طورپر یہ بات کھل جائے کہ فی الواقع حق کیا تھا اور باطل کیا۔ اور پھر جس نے حق کا ساتھ دیا ہو اس کو کامیابی حاصل ہو اور جس نے حق کا ساتھ نہ دیا ہو وہ ناکام کردیا جائے۔ جس دنیا میں ایسا ’’پتھر‘‘ ہو جو ایک شخص کے ’’سر‘‘ کو توڑدے وہاں کیا ایسا حق نہ ہوگا جو باطل کو باطل ثابت کرسکے۔
