فَفَهَّمۡنَٰهَا سُلَيۡمَٰنَۚ وَكُلًّا ءَاتَيۡنَا حُكۡمٗا وَعِلۡمٗاۚ وَسَخَّرۡنَا مَعَ دَاوُۥدَ ٱلۡجِبَالَ يُسَبِّحۡنَ وَٱلطَّيۡرَۚ وَكُنَّا فَٰعِلِينَ
And We gave understanding of the case to Solomon, and to each [of them] We gave judgement and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Us], along with David and [also] the birds. And We were doing [that]
In these verses two Israelite prophets have been mentioned—One David (Dawud) and the other, his son, Soloman (Sulayman). God had bestowed upon them the capability to settle human problems and take right decisions about them. The Prophet David used to offer prayers to God so eloquently that even the mountains and the birds would join in with him. Moreover, God also told him how to make use of iron. It was the prophets of God who taught man how to pray to his Lord and praise Him. But it appears from these verses that other important things also came to be properly known to man through the prophets: for instance, the principles of social justice and the use of minerals and metals. Indeed, primary knowledge of every important thing in relation to life was probably granted to man through their good graces alone.
ان آیات میں دو اسرائیلی پیغمبروں کا ذکر ہے۔ ایک حضرت داؤد اور دوسرے ان کے صاحب زادہ حضرت سلیمان — ان کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے انسانی معاملات کا صحیح فیصلہ کرنے کی صلاحیت دی۔ حضرت داؤد اللہ کی تسبیح اتنے اعلیٰ طریقہ پر کرتے تھے کہ پہاڑ اور چڑیاں بھی ان کی ہم نوا ہوجاتیں۔ اس طرح اللہ نے انھیں بتایا کہ لوہے کا استعمال کس طرح کیا جائے۔
یہ ایک حقیقت ہے کہ خداکے پیغمبروں ہی نے انسان کو بتایا کہ وہ اپنے رب کی تسبیح وعبادت کس طرح کرے۔ مگر ان آیات سے معلوم ہوتاہے کہ دوسری ضروری چیزیں بھی انسان کو صحیح طورپر پیغمبروں ہی کے ذریعہ معلوم ہوئیں۔ مثلاً عدلِ اجتماعی کا اصول اور معدنیات کا استعمال بھی پیغمبروں ہی کے ذریعہ انسانوں کے علم میںآیا۔ زندگی سے متعلق ہر ضروری چیز کا ابتدائی علم غالباً پیغمبروں ہی کے ذریعہ انسان کو دیاگیا ہے۔
