مَن كَانَ يَظُنُّ أَن لَّن يَنصُرَهُ ٱللَّهُ فِي ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ فَلۡيَمۡدُدۡ بِسَبَبٍ إِلَى ٱلسَّمَآءِ ثُمَّ لۡيَقۡطَعۡ فَلۡيَنظُرۡ هَلۡ يُذۡهِبَنَّ كَيۡدُهُۥ مَا يَغِيظُ
Whoever should think that Allah will not support [Prophet Muhammad] in this world and the Hereafter - let him extend a rope to the ceiling, then cut off [his breath], and let him see: will his effort remove that which enrages [him]
When the Prophet Muhammad called upon the people to the Truth, those who had built their castles on untruth became his enemies. Opposition went on growing until a stage was reached when it appeared that the flag-bearers of Untruth would overcome the flag-bearers of Truth. Under these critical circumstances, certain Muslims questioned why, if the truth were on their side, God was not helping them and why He remained neutral in the struggle between the Truth and Untruth. God says that He always supports the Truth. But it is not the way of God to intervene immediately. He waits until matters reach the stage when one side’s being on the right path and the other side’s being on the wrong path are clearly established. When this stage has been reached, God intervenes without further delay and settles the issue. This is the way of God. It is necessary for human beings to become reconciled to this, because no other course is possible in this universe. Any way other than this is the way of death and not of life.
رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوگوں کو حق کی طرف پکارا تو جو لوگ ناحق کی بنیاد پر اپنی عمارت کھڑی کيے ہوئے تھے وہ آپ کے دشمن ہوگئے۔ مخالفت بڑھتی رہی۔ یہاں تک کہ ایسا معلوم ہوا گویا ناحق کے علم بردار حق کے علم برداروں کا خاتمہ کردیں گے۔ ایسے نازک حالات میں بعض مسلمانوں کے دل میں یہ وسوسہ پیدا ہوا کہ اگر ہم حق پر ہیںتو خدا ہماری مدد کیوں نہیں کرتا۔ حق اور ناحق کی کش مکش میں وہ غیر جانب دار کیوں بنا ہوا ہے۔
فرمایا کہ خدا بلا شبہ ہمیشہ حق کا ساتھ دیتا ہے۔ مگر خدا کا یہ طریقہ نہیں کہ وہ فوراً مداخلت کرے۔ وہ معاملات کے اس حد تک پہنچنے کا انتظار کرتاہے جہاں ایک فریق کا برسر حق ہونا اور دوسرے فریق کا برسر باطل ہونا پوری طرح ثابت شدہ بن جائے۔ جب یہ حد آجاتی ہے اس وقت خدا بلا تاخیر مداخلت کرکے فیصلہ کردیتاہے۔
یہ خدا کی سنت ہے۔ آدمی کو چاہیے کہ وہ اپنے آپ کو خدا کی اس سنت پر راضی کرے۔ کیوں کہ اس کے سوا کوئی اور چیز اس زمین وآسمان کے اندر ممکن نہیں۔ اس کے سوا ہر راستہ موت کا راستہ ہے، نہ کہ زندگی کا راستہ۔
