۞إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُدَٰفِعُ عَنِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ كُلَّ خَوَّانٖ كَفُورٍ
Indeed, Allah defends those who have believed. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone treacherous and ungrateful
When servants of God opt for the path of God, they are not alone in this world. When heedless, arrogant people make them the target of their persecution, God takes the side of the devotees against the persecutors. Initially God tests the sincerity of his proponents. But then He comes to the help of those who, having undergone this test have proved their sincerity. He creates such circumstances for them as may help them to overcome all kinds of hurdles and continue to adhere to the Truth. The real task of the believers is solely to keep calling people to the truth. Once launched on this course, they remain steadfastly upon it. They sometimes wage war, if necessary, but their war is always defensive, never aggressive. If a group remains in power for a long time, it becomes arrogant and boastful. Therefore, God has devised the law of ‘repelling’ for this world. He manages again and again, to dislodge one group from power through another group. Thus the political balance of power has remained steady throughout history. If God did not resort to this method, then human high-handedness would grow to such an extent that even sacred institutions like places of worship would not remain safe from the depredations of the wicked.
اللہ کا کوئی بندہ یا کوئی گروہ اپنے آپ کو اللہ کے راستے پر ڈالے تو وہ اس دنیا میں تنہا نہیں ہوتا۔ غافل اور سرکش لوگ جب اس کو اپنے ظلم کا نشانہ بنائیں تو خدا ظالموں کے مقابلہ میں ان کی جانب کھڑاہوجاتا ہے۔ خدا ابتداء ً اپنا نام لینے والوں کے اخلاص کا امتحان لیتاہے۔ مگر جو لوگ امتحان میں پڑ کر اپنا مخلص ہونا ثابت کردیں خدا ضرور ان کی مدد پر آجاتاہے۔ اور ان کے ليے ایسے حالات پیدا کرتا ہے کہ وہ تمام رکاوٹوں پر قابو پاتے ہوئے حق پر کار بند رہ سکیں۔
اہل ایمان کا اصل اقدام صرف دعوت ہے۔ وہ دعوت سے آغاز کرتے ہیں اور برابر دعوت ہی پر قائم رہتے ہیں۔ وہ بوقت ضرورت کبھی جنگ بھی کرتے ہیں مگر ان کی جنگ ہمیشہ دفاع کے ليے ہوتی ہے، نہ کہ جارحیت کے ليے۔
ایک گروہ اگر زیادہ مدت تک اقتدار پر رہے تو اس کے اندر سرکشی اور گھمنڈ پیدا ہوجاتا ہے۔ اس ليے خدا نے اس دنیا میں ’’دفع‘‘ کا قانون مقرر کیا ہے۔ وہ بار بار ایک گروہ کے ذریعے دوسرے گروہ کواقتدار کے مقام سے ہٹاتا ہے۔ اس طرح تاریخ میں سیاسی توازن قائم رہتا ہے۔ اگر خدا ایسا نہ کرے تو لوگوں کی سرکشی یہاں تک بڑھ جائے کہ عبادت خانے جیسے مقدس ادارے بھی ان کی دست بُرد سے محفوظ نہ رہیں۔
اس دفع کی ایک صورت یہ ہے کہ کسی گروہ کے اقتدار کو سرے سے ختم کردیا جائے۔ اس کی ایک مثال موجودہ زمانہ میں برطانیہ عظمیٰ کی ہے جس کو وطنی آزادی کی تحریکوں کے ذریعے ختم کیا گیا۔ دوسرا طریقہ وہ ہے جس کی مثال روس اور امریکا کی شکل میں نظر آتا ہے۔ یعنی ایک کے ذریعے دوسرے پر روک لگانا۔ اور اس طرح بین اقوامی سیاست میں توازن قائم رکھنا۔
