۞ذَٰلِكَۖ وَمَنۡ عَاقَبَ بِمِثۡلِ مَا عُوقِبَ بِهِۦ ثُمَّ بُغِيَ عَلَيۡهِ لَيَنصُرَنَّهُ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَعَفُوٌّ غَفُورٞ
That [is so]. And whoever responds [to injustice] with the equivalent of that with which he was harmed and then is tyrannized - Allah will surely aid him. Indeed, Allah is Pardoning and Forgiving
The people of faith were enjoined to adopt the ways of God who is forgiving and merciful, in that He repeatedly overlooks the excesses of the people and forgives them. Therefore, the respected companions (of the Prophet) were adherents of this divine code of ethics. They were subjected to atrocities, but they tolerated them. Provocative language was used against them, but they overlooked it. Yet, it happened that when some excess was committed against some Muslims, they gave way to a sudden emotional outburst, and retaliated. Harm was inflicted on them, so they inflicted harm in return. Their opponents, taking advantage of this, started vigorous propaganda against the Muslims. Forgetting their own persecution and, treating trivial actions on the part of the Muslims as an atrocity, they started defaming them. Such action shows the worst type of meanness. Those who indulge in such meanness are in reality challenging the honour of God. Apparently they are trying to prove a Muslim to be an oppressor: in reality they are themselves the worst oppressors and can bring no harm to the people of faith by their false propaganda. In consequence, they will meet with the severest punishment for their transgression.
اہل ایمان کو یہ تلقین کی گئی تھی کہ وہ اس خدا کے طریقہ کو اپنا طریقہ بنائیں جو غفور ورحیم ہے۔ وہ لوگوں کی زیادتیوں سے مسلسل در گزر کرتاہے۔ اور ان کو معاف فرماتا ہے۔ چنانچہ صحابہ کرام کا گروہ عام طورپر اسی اخلاقِ خداوندی پر قائم تھا۔ ان پر ظلم کیا جاتا تھا مگر وہ اس کو برداشت کرتے تھے۔ ان کے ساتھ اشتعال انگیز باتیں کی جاتی تھیں مگر وہ در گز رکرتے تھے۔
تاہم بعض مسلمانوں سے ایسا ہوا کہ ان کے ساتھ زیادتی کی گئی تو فوری جذبہ کے تحت انھوں نے جوابی کارروائی کی۔ ان کو نقصان پہنچایا گیا تو انھوںنے بھی کچھ نقصان پہنچایا۔ دشمنوں نے ا س کو بہانہ بنا کر مسلمانوںکے خلاف زبردست پروپیگنڈا کیا۔ وہ خود اپنی ظالمانہ کارروائیوں کو بھول گئے۔ البتہ مسلمانوں کے معمولی واقعہ کو ظلم قرار دے کر ان کو بدنام کرنا شروع کردیا۔
ایسا کرنا بدترین کمینہ پن ہے۔ جولوگ اس قسم کی کمینہ پن کا ثبوت دیں، وہ خدا کی غیرت کو چیلنج کرتے ہیں۔ بظاہر وہ ایک مسلمان کو ظالم ثابت کررہے ہیں۔ مگر حقیقت کی نظر میں وہ خود سب سے بڑے ظالم ہیں۔ وہ اپنے ظلم کی سخت ترین سزا پاکر رہیں گے۔ اس قسم کے جھوٹے پروپیگنڈوں سے وہ اہل حق کو کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچاسکتے۔
