إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا رَجُلٌ ٱفۡتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبٗا وَمَا نَحۡنُ لَهُۥ بِمُؤۡمِنِينَ
He is not but a man who has invented a lie about Allah, and we will not believe him
This verse refers to people’s utterances regarding the Hereafter—some implicit and others explicit. Sometimes a man is so completely engrossed in worldly pursuits, that he seems to become forgetful of the Hereafter, as if he considered it to be only a remote possibility. And, sometimes it happens that his neglect of the Hereafter takes him to the extreme limit of arrogance, to the extent that he is outspoken, openly expressing the view that one should seize upon whatever one can today, and not lose today’s certain benefits for the sake of tomorrow’s imaginary gains. Such people deride the Prophet by saying that he is an imposter who misrepresents God. Utterances such as these give people a reason for neglecting and ignoring the preacher of Truth.
اس آیت میں آخرت کے بارے میں جو کلمات نقل کيے گئے ہیں وہ کبھی زبان حال سے ادا ہوتے ہیں اور کبھی زبان قال سے۔ کبھی ایسا ہوتا ہے کہ آدمی ہمہ تن بس دنیا کی چیزوں میں مشغول ہوتا ہے۔ وہ آخرت سے اس طرح غافل نظر آتا ہے جیسے کے آخرت اس کے نزدیک بالکل بعید از قیاس بات ہے۔ اور کبھی ایسا ہوتا ہے کہ اس کی آخرت سے غفلت اس کو سرکشی کی اس حدتک پہنچا دیتی ہے کہ وہ اپنی زبان سے بھی کہہ دیتا ہے کہ آخرت تو بہت بعید از قیاس چیز ہے۔ اس ليے آج جو کچھ مل رہا ہے اس کو حاصل کرو، کل کے موہوم فائدہ کی خاطر آج کے یقینی فائدہ کو نہ کھوؤ۔
’’اس شخص نے اللہ پر جھوٹ باندھا ہے‘‘— اس کلمہ کی بھی دو صورتیں ہیں۔ ایک یہ کہ آدمی عین اسی جملہ کو اپنی زبان سے ادا کرے۔ د وسرے یہ کہ وہ داعیٔ حق کو اس طرح نظر انداز کرے جیسے کہ اس کی بات محض ایک سرپھرے شخص کی بات ہے۔ اس کا خدا سے کوئی تعلق نہیں۔
