ٱدۡفَعۡ بِٱلَّتِي هِيَ أَحۡسَنُ ٱلسَّيِّئَةَۚ نَحۡنُ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَا يَصِفُونَ
Repel, by [means of] what is best, [their] evil. We are most knowing of what they describe
When God’s preacher calls for the Truth, it often happens that those whom he addresses, instead of acknowledging it, become his enemies. They make him the target of mischief and spread false propaganda against him. At that time, he has the urge to react. He feels that if he has been maltreated by others, he should also retaliate. He feels that if he keeps quiet, will be encouraged and they will be emboldened to engage in further opposition. But all such thoughts are instigations of Satan. At this critical juncture, Satan confuses the issue with a view to leading man astray. On such occasions, one who is a believer should seek God’s protection, will cast him into manifest error.
خدا کا داعی جب لوگوں کو حق کی طرف بلاتا ہے تو اکثر ایسا ہوتاہے کہ لوگ اس کے دشمن بن جاتے ہیں۔ وہ اس کے خلاف جھوٹے پروپيگنڈے کرتے ہیں۔ وہ اس کو اپنے شرکا نشانہ بناتے ہیں۔ اس وقت داعی کے اندر بھی جوابی ذہن ابھرتا ہے۔ اس کے دل میں یہ خیال آتاہے کہ جن لوگوں نے تمھارے ساتھ برا سلوک کیا ہے تم بھی ان کے ساتھ برا سلوک کرو۔ اگر تم خاموش رہے تو ان کے حوصلے بڑھیں گے اور وہ مزید مخالفانہ کارروائی کرنے کے ليے دلیر ہوجائیں گے۔
مگر اس قسم کے خیالات شیطان کا وسوسہ ہیں۔ شیطان اس نازک موقع پر آدمی کو بہکاتا ہے تاکہ اس کو راہ سے بے راہ کردے۔ ایسے موقع پر داعی اور مومن کو چاہيے کہ وہ شیطانی بہکاووں کے مقابلہ میں خدا کی پناہ مانگے نہ کہ شیطانی بہکاووں کو مان کر اپنے مخالفین کے خلاف انتقامی کارروائیاں کرنے لگے۔
