وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّبِعُواْ سَبِيلَنَا وَلۡنَحۡمِلۡ خَطَٰيَٰكُمۡ وَمَا هُم بِحَٰمِلِينَ مِنۡ خَطَٰيَٰهُم مِّن شَيۡءٍۖ إِنَّهُمۡ لَكَٰذِبُونَ
And those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Follow our way, and we will carry your sins." But they will not carry anything of their sins. Indeed, they are liars
Inventing a lie, or iftira, consists of saying something of one’s own concoction and then attributing it to God. All manner of wrongful innovations in religion, or bid‘ah, and wrong interpretations are included in this definition. One of the forms of iftira is prominent people among the deniers of God asking the less enlightened to follow their path and reassuring them that they will be responsible if the latter are questioned before God. But God has not given this kind of right to anybody. Therefore, to make such a statement amounts to uttering a falsehood in the name of God. Human beings say many things for the sake of saying them. But if they were to understand the consequences of their words, they would not utter them. When such people who have spoken idly see the horror of the Day of Judgement, their condition will be entirely different from what it seems to be in today’s world.
افترا (جھوٹ گھڑنا) یہ ہے کہ آدمی خود ایک بات کہے اور اس کو خدا کی طرف منسوب کردے۔ ہر قسم کی بدعات اور غلط تعبیرات اس میں داخل ہیں۔ اس افترا کی ایک صورت یہ ہے کہ انکار کرنے والے بڑے اپنے چھوٹوں سے یہ کہیں کہ تم ہمارے راستہ پر چلتے رہو، اگر خدا کے یہاں اس پر پوچھا گیا تو ہم اس کے ذمہ دار ہیں۔ خدا نے کسی کو اس قسم کا حق نہیں دیا ہے۔ اس ليے ایسی بات کہنا خداپر جھوٹ باندھنا ہے۔
آدمی بہت سی باتیں صرف کہنے کےلیے کہہ دیتاہے۔ اگروہ اس کے انجام کو دیکھ لے تو وہ کبھی ایسے الفاظ اپنے منہ سے نہ نکالے۔ چنانچہ یہ لوگ جب قیامت کی ہولناکی کو دیکھیں گے تو اس وقت ان کا حال اس سے بالکل مختلف ہوگاجو آج کی دنیا میں ان کا نظر آرہا ہے۔
