إِنَّ ٱلۡمُسۡلِمِينَ وَٱلۡمُسۡلِمَٰتِ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنِينَ وَٱلۡمُؤۡمِنَٰتِ وَٱلۡقَٰنِتِينَ وَٱلۡقَٰنِتَٰتِ وَٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ وَٱلصَّـٰدِقَٰتِ وَٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ وَٱلصَّـٰبِرَٰتِ وَٱلۡخَٰشِعِينَ وَٱلۡخَٰشِعَٰتِ وَٱلۡمُتَصَدِّقِينَ وَٱلۡمُتَصَدِّقَٰتِ وَٱلصَّـٰٓئِمِينَ وَٱلصَّـٰٓئِمَٰتِ وَٱلۡحَٰفِظِينَ فُرُوجَهُمۡ وَٱلۡحَٰفِظَٰتِ وَٱلذَّـٰكِرِينَ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرٗا وَٱلذَّـٰكِرَٰتِ أَعَدَّ ٱللَّهُ لَهُم مَّغۡفِرَةٗ وَأَجۡرًا عَظِيمٗا
Indeed, the Muslim men and Muslim women, the believing men and believing women, the obedient men and obedient women, the truthful men and truthful women, the patient men and patient women, the humble men and humble women, the charitable men and charitable women, the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so - for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward
This verse shows what Almighty God wishes a man or woman to be like. The ten virtues He would like them to possess are as follows: Islam (submission to God), Faith in God, obedience, truthfulness, patience, sincerity, charity, fasting, chastity and remembrance of God. These ten virtues encompass all the aspects of the Islamic faith and Islamic character. Briefly speaking, one who hopes to receive God’s pardon and His rewards should bow to His injunctions, thus showing his total belief in God. There should be no contradiction between his words and his deeds. He should stand firm, regardless of the circumstances. The realization of God’s greatness should have made him modest and he should consider the meeting of others’ needs as his own responsibility. He must fast regularly and, in the context of sexual desires, he is chaste and pure. His days and nights are spent in the remembrance of God. Just as these qualities are required of men, so also are they required of women. Although their manifestation may in some respects be different, as far as the qualities themselves are concerned, they are the same for both. A human being, whether a woman or a man, will be considered acceptable to God only when he or she approaches God endowed with these ten qualities.
اس آیت میں بتایاگیا ہے کہ اللہ تعالیٰ ایک مرد یا ایک عورت کو جیسا دیکھنا چاہتا ہے وہ کیا ہے۔ وہ حسب ذیل دس صفات ہیں — اسلام، ایمان، قنوت، صدق، صبر، خشوع، صدقہ، روزہ، عفت، ذکر اللہ۔
ان دس الفاظ میں اسلامی عقیدہ اور اسلامی کردار کے تمام پہلو سمٹ آئے ہیں۔ اس کا خلاصہ یہ ہے کہ ہر وہ شخص جو اللہ کے یہاں مغفرت اور انعام کا امیدوار ہو اس کو ایسا بننا چاہیے کہ وہ اللہ کے حکم کے آگے جھکنے والا ہو۔ وہ اللہ پر یقین کرنے والا ہو۔ وہ اپنے پورے وجود کے ساتھ اللہ کےلیے یکسو ہوجائے۔ اس کی زندگی قول اور فعل کے تضاد سے خالی ہو۔ وہ ہر حال میں جما رہنے والاہو۔ اللہ کی بڑائی کے احساس نے اسے متواضع بنادیا ہو۔ وہ دوسروں کی ضرورت پوری کرنے کو بھی اپنی ذمہ داری شمار کرتا ہو۔ وہ روزہ دار ہو جو نفس کو کنٹرول کرنے کی تربیت ہے۔ وہ شہوانی خواہشات کے مقابلہ میں عفیف اور پاک دامن ہو۔ اس کے صبح وشام اللہ کی یاد میں بسر ہونے لگیں۔
یہ اوصاف جس طرح مردوں سے مطلوب ہیں اسی طرح وہ عورتوں سے بھی مطلوب ہیں۔ ان اوصاف کے اظہار کا دائرہ بعض اعتبار سے دونوں کے درمیان مختلف ہے۔ مگر جہاں تک خود اوصاف کا تعلق ہے وہ دونوں کےلیے یکساں ہے۔ کوئی عورت ہو یا کوئی مرد وہ اسی وقت خداکے یہاں قابل قبول ٹھہرے گا جب کہ وہ ان دس صفتوں سے متصف ہو کر خدا کے یہاں پہنچے۔
