إِن تَدۡعُوهُمۡ لَا يَسۡمَعُواْ دُعَآءَكُمۡ وَلَوۡ سَمِعُواْ مَا ٱسۡتَجَابُواْ لَكُمۡۖ وَيَوۡمَ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ يَكۡفُرُونَ بِشِرۡكِكُمۡۚ وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثۡلُ خَبِيرٖ
If you invoke them, they do not hear your supplication; and if they heard, they would not respond to you. And on the Day of Resurrection they will deny your association. And none can inform you like [one] Acquainted [with all matters]
There is a large store of water on the earth—salt water in the oceans and seas, and fresh water in rivers, lakes and springs. This water is the source of innumerable advantages for man. It is used for drinking and irrigation. The creatures which live in water provide valuable food for man. The oceans and seas, spread over three-fourths of the Earth enable transportation and form a vast storehouse of valuable objects like pearls, mineral ores, etc. God causes the earth to revolve around the sun and rotate on its axis in a regulated manner, thereby causing the seasons, and the alternation of day and night. There are similar innumerable arrangements which have been brought into being by the all-powerful God. As such, who else is there other than God who deserves man’s utmost gratitude? It is God with His unfathomable powers who can fulfill the needs of man, and not those imaginary gods who possess absolutely no powers.
زمین پر پانی کا عظیم الشان ذخیرہ موجود ہے، وسیع سمندروں میں کھاری پانی کی صورت میں، اور دریاؤں اور جھیلوں اور چشموں میں میٹھے پانی کی صورت میں۔ یہ پانی آدمی کےلیے بے شمار فوائد کا ذریعہ ہے۔ وہ پینے کےلیے اور آب پاشی کےلیے استعمال ہوتا ہے۔ اس سے آبی جانور حاصل ہوتے ہیں جو انسان کےلیے قیمتی خوراک ہیں۔ کرۂ ارض کے تین چوتھائی حصہ میں پھیلے ہوئے سمندر گویا وسیع آبی سڑکیں ہیں جنھوں نے سفر اور باربرداری کو بے حد آسان کردیا ہے۔ سمندروں سے موتی اور دوسری قیمتی چیزیں حاصل ہوتی ہیں، وغیرہ۔
پھر وسیع خلا میں خدا نے سورج اور چاند کو مسخر کر رکھا ہے جن میں بے شمار فائدے ہیں۔ اس نے زمین کو سورج کے گرد اپنے محور پر کامل حساب کے ساتھ گھمارکھا ہے جس سے رات اور دن پیدا ہوتے ہیں۔ اس طرح کے بے شمار کائناتی انتظامات ہیں جو صرف خدا کے قائم کردہ ہیں۔ پھر خدا کے سوا کون ہے جو انسان کے جذبۂ شکر کا مستحق ہو۔ اتھاہ طاقتیں رکھنے والا خدا انسان کی حاجتیں پوری کرسکتا ہے یا وہ مفروضہ معبود جو کسی قسم کا کوئی اختیار نہیں رکھتا۔
