وَقَالُواْ ٱلۡحَمۡدُ لِلَّهِ ٱلَّذِيٓ أَذۡهَبَ عَنَّا ٱلۡحَزَنَۖ إِنَّ رَبَّنَا لَغَفُورٞ شَكُورٌ
And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative
Jacob was Abraham’s grandson. From Jacob up to the time of Jesus, all the prophets were from among the tribes of the Children of Israel. In this way, the chain of Jewish prophets remained unbroken for about two thousand years. But, latter day Jews did not remain capable of bearing aloft the Book of God. Therefore, another community, the Children of Isma‘il, was selected to be the guardian of the divine scriptures. The Prophet Muhammad was born into this tribe. When the Prophet Muhammad presented the Quran before the tribe (Children of Isma‘il), three groups emerged—one which consisted of those who stood in opposition, a second which adopted a middle way, and a third which believed in the message he presented. It was the last group, who stood by the Prophet at all times. They had to forego every comfort and lived lives of gruelling hard work during which time they exhibited great patience. As a reward for their sacrifice God admitted them in the everlasting gardens of paradise where no sorrow or trouble could ever affect them.
حضرت یعقوب حضرت ابراہیم کے پوتے تھے۔ حضرت یعقوب علیہ السلام سے لے کر حضرت مسیح علیہ السلام تک تمام پیغمبر بنی اسرائیل کی نسل میں پیدا ہوتے رہے۔ اس طرح تقریباً دو ہزار سال تک پیغمبری کا سلسلہ یہود کی نسل میں جاری رہا۔ مگر بعد کے دور میں یہود اس قابل نہ رہے کہ وہ کتابِ الٰہی کے حامل بن سکیں۔ چنانچہ دوسری زندہ قوم (بنو اسماعیل) کو کتابِ الٰہی کا حامل بننے کےلیے منتخب کیا گیا۔ بنو اسماعیل میں پیغمبر اسلام صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی پیدائش اسی فیصلہ الٰہی کی تعمیل تھی۔ اس آیت میں ’’منتخب بندوں‘‘ سے مراد یہی بنو اسماعیل ہیں۔
رسو ل اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جب بنو اسماعیل کے سامنے قرآن پیش کیا تو ان میں تین قسم کے لوگ نکلے۔ ایک وہ جو اس کے مخالف بن کر کھڑے ہوگئے۔ دوسرے وہ جنھوں نے درمیانی راہ اختیار کی۔ تیسرا گروہ آگے بڑھنے والوں کاتھا۔ یہی وہ لوگ ہیںجنھوں نے پیغمبر آخر الزماں کا ساتھ دے کر اسلام کی عظیم تاریخ بنائی۔
قرآن کا ساتھ دینے کےلیے انھیں ہر قسم کی راحت سے محروم ہونا پڑا۔ اس کے نتیجے میں ان کی زندگی عملاً صبر اور مشقت کی زندگی بن گئی۔ اس قربانی کی قیمت انھیں آخرت میں اس طرح ملے گی کہ خدا انھیں ایسے باغوں میں داخل کرے گا جہاں وہ ہمیشہ کےلیے غم اور تکلیف سے محفوظ ہوجائیں گے۔
