رُّسُلٗا مُّبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ لِئَلَّا يَكُونَ لِلنَّاسِ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ حُجَّةُۢ بَعۡدَ ٱلرُّسُلِۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمٗا
[We sent] messengers as bringers of good tidings and warners so that mankind will have no argument against Allah after the messengers. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise
God created man, and then He created Paradise and Hell. Man was later settled on the earth. Here man has freedom to do as he wishes. But this freedom is not forever. It is temporary and meant for his trial. It is so that good and bad may be distinguished from one another. God is watching those who, despite being granted freedom, can adopt realistic attitudes, and surrender themselves to the will of God, and who are the people who misuse their freedom and prove themselves to be rebels. Both kinds of people have been mixed in this world. Both have equal opportunity to gain fully from the blessings of God. But, after the completion of the appointed time of trial, those groups will be separated from one another. The first group will be lodged in the Gardens of Paradise forever, while the second group will be consigned to Hell for all eternity. This plan devised by God for human existence put man in an extremely delicate situation, for the outcome of his brief stay in this world was going to appear in one of two extreme forms—either eternal comfort or eternal chastisement. That is why, besides other natural arrangements for divine guidance, God also arranged to send to mankind His messengers and His Scriptures, so that no one should remain unaware of the reality of life. No one may then attempt to excuse his misconduct on the plea that he was not informed of the divine plan of how human beings were expected to lead their lives. From start to finish, this divine plan necessitated all of the prophets bringing the same message and the same mission to mankind. For, when all human beings without exception are to be weighed in the divine scale, how could their ‘test papers’ be different from one another? The truth is that the message brought by all the prophets was one and the same and they communicated that same message to all human beings: that everyone is standing at a perilous watershed. On one side of it is Paradise and on the other is Hell. If one steps to one side, one will reach Paradise; if one steps to the other, one will fall into the gorge of Hell. All the prophets had this identical message.
اللہ نے انسان کو پیدا کیا اور پھر جنت اور جہنم بنائی۔ اس کے بعد انسان کو زمین پر بسایا۔ یہاں انسان کو آزادی ہے کہ وہ جو چاہے کرے۔ مگر یہ آزادی مستقل نہیں ہے بلکہ وقتی ہے اور امتحان کے لیے ہے۔ وہ اس لیے ہے تاکہ اچھے اور برے کو چھانٹا جائے۔ خدا یہ دیکھ رہا ہے کہ لوگوں میں کون وہ شخص ہے جو اپنی آزادی کے باوجود حقیقت پسندی کا رویہ اختیار کرتا ہے اور اپنے کو اللہ کا بندہ بنا کر رکھتا ہے اور کون وہ ہے جو اپنی آزادی کا غلط استعمال کرکے بتاتا ہے کہ وہ ایک سرکش انسان ہے۔ دنیا میں دونوں قسم کے لوگ ملے ہوئے ہیں۔ دونوں کو یہاں یکساں طورپر خدا کی نعمتوں سے فائدہ اٹھانے کا موقع حاصل ہے۔ مگر امتحان کی مقرره مدت پوری ہونے کے بعد دونوں گروہ ایک دوسرے سے الگ کرديے جائیں گے۔ پہلے گروہ کو ابدی طورپر جنت کے باغوں میں بسایا جائے گا اور دوسرے گروہ کو ابدی طور پر جہنم میں ڈال دیا جائے گا۔
زندگی کے بارے میں اللہ کا یہ منصوبہ انسان کو بڑی نزاکت میں ڈال رہا ہے۔ کیوں کہ اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ دنیا کی مختصر زندگی کا انجام دو انتہائی صورتوں میں سامنے آنے والا ہے، یا ابدی راحت یا ابدی عذاب۔ اس لیے الله نے رہنمائی کے دوسرے فطری انتظامات کے علاوہ پیغمبروں اور کتابوں کے بھیجنے کا انتظام کیا تاکہ کوئی شخص زندگی کی حقیقت سے بے خبر نہ رہے اور فیصلہ کے دن یہ نہ کہہ سکے کہ ہم کو الٰہی منصوبہ کا پتہ نہ تھا تاكه ہم اپنی زندگی کو اس کے مطابق بناتے۔
اللہ کے اس منصوبہ کے لازم معنی یہ ہیں کہ شروع سے آخر تک آنے والے تمام نبیوں کا پیغام اور ان كا منصبی فریضہ ایک ہو۔ جب تمام انسان ایک ہی امتحان کی ترازو میں کھڑے ہوئے ہیں تو ان کے امتحان کا پرچہ ایک دوسرے سے مختلف کیسے ہوسکتاہے۔ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ تمام نبیوں کا پیغام ايك تھا اور اسی ایک پیغام سے انھوںنے تمام انسانوں کو باخبر کیا۔ اور وہ یہ کہ ہر آدمی ایک ایسے نازک مقام پر کھڑا ہوا ہے جس کے ایک طرف جنت ہے اور دوسری طرف جہنم۔ وہ ایک طرف چلے تو جنت میں پہنچے گا اور دوسری طرف چلے تو جہنم میں جاگرے گا — تمام نبیوں کی دعوت ایک تھی۔البتہ زمانی ضرورت کے اعتبار سے ان كو خدا کی تائید مختلف صورتوںمیں ملی۔ اللہ کی یہ سنت آج بھی باقی ہے۔ ڈرانے اور خوش خبری سنانے کا پیغمبرانہ کام کرنے کے لیے آج جو لوگ اٹھیں گے وہ اپنے حالات کے لحاظ سے یقیناً اللہ کی خصوصی تائید کے مستحق ہوں گے۔ تاکہ وہ اپني دعوتی ذمہ داری کو مؤثر طور پر جاری رکھ سکیں۔
