أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ نَصِيبٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ يُؤۡمِنُونَ بِٱلۡجِبۡتِ وَٱلطَّـٰغُوتِ وَيَقُولُونَ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ أَهۡدَىٰ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ سَبِيلًا
Have you not seen those who were given a portion of the Scripture, who believe in superstition and false objects of worship and say about the disbelievers, "These are better guided than the believers as to the way
The Jews were thought to be the representatives of the religion of God. Hence, when non-Jewish Arabs started supporting the Prophet, the Jews became his opponents to save the facade of their religiousness. In this way their being misguided did not remain confined to themselves and they began to raise controversies about the life and teachings of the Prophet. This was to confuse people and to prove that he was not the Messenger of God but a self-proclaimed proponent of religion working towards fulfilling his ambition of becoming a leader. God is, however, not indifferent in this matter: He will surely side with the faithful and make them successful against misguided opponents. Accursedness is, in fact, the extreme form of man’s insensibility. When he becomes too insensitive to distinguish between right and wrong, this has been called the state of being accursed. An individual often hears something without its registering upon him. This happens at a time when he is not serious about heeding the divine message. As this attitude becomes more established, the person becomes irresponsive, as if the features of his face had been obliterated and he is seeing and listening with the back of his head where there are neither eyes nor ears. Such blindness and deafness to the truth and reality indicate that God has deprived that person of His blessings due to his constant negligence of truth and reality. God had provided him with ears, but he could not listen; God had given him eyes, but he failed to observe. God, therefore, made him exactly the same as what the individual had actually turned himself into. This extreme stage of insensitivity takes the form of ‘maskh’, that is, a metamorphosis from a superior state to an extremely inferior state; man, the most superior form of creature, is degraded to the level of the beasts.
آسمانی کتاب کی حامل کسی قوم پر جب زوال آتا ہے تو وہ عمل کے بجائے خوش عقیدگی کی سطح پر جینے لگتی ہے۔ اس کا نتیجہ یہ ہوتا ہے کہ اس کے درمیان جبت يعني توہمات خوب پھیلتے ہیں۔ جو چیز حقیقی عمل کے ذریعے ملتی ہے اس کو وہ عملیات اور فرضی عقیدوں اور سفلی اعمال کے راستے سے پانے کی کوشش شروع کردیتی ہے۔ ایسے لوگ دین کے معاملہ کو ’’پاک کلمات‘‘اور ’’بابرکت نسبتوں‘‘ کا معاملہ سمجھ لیتے ہیں جس کے محض زبانی تلفظ یا رسمی تعلق سے معجزاتی واقعات ظاہر ہوتے ہوں۔ اسی کے ساتھ ان کا یہ حال ہوتا ہے کہ وہ زبان سے دین کا نام لیتے ہوئے اپنی عملی زندگی کو طاغوت يعني شیطان کے حوالے کردیتے ہیں۔ وہ حقیقی زندگی میں نفس کی خواہشات اور شیطان کی ترغیبات پر چل پڑتے ہیں مگر اسی کے ساتھ اپنے اوپر دین کا لیبل لگا کر سمجھتے ہیں کہ جو کچھ وہ کرنے لگیں وہی خدا کا دین ہے۔ ایسی حالت ميں جب ان کے درمیان بے آمیز حق کی دعوت اٹھتی ہے تو وہ سب سے زیادہ اس کے مخالف ہوجاتے ہیں۔ کیوں کہ ان کو محسوس ہوتا ہے کہ وہ ان کی دینی حیثیت کی نفی کررہی ہے۔ منكرينِ حق کا وجود ان کے لیے اس قسم کا چیلنج نہیں ہوتا اس لیے منكروںکے معاملہ میں وہ نرم ہوتے ہیں مگر حق کے داعی کے لیے ان کے دل میں کوئی نرم گوشہ نہیںہوتا۔ ان کے اندر حاسدانہ آگ بھڑک اٹھتی ہے کہ جب دین کے اجارہ دار ہم تھے تو دوسرے کسی شخص کو دین کی نمائندگی کا درجہ کیسے مل گیا۔ وہ بھول جاتے ہیں کہ خدا آدمی کی قلبی استعداد کی بنیاد پر کسی کو اپنے دین کا نمائندہ چنتا ہے، نہ کہ نمائشی چیزوں کی بنیاد پر۔
لعنت یہ ہے کہ آدمی اللہ کی رحمتوں اور نصرتوں سے بالکل دور کردیا جائے۔ کھانا اور پانی بند ہونے سے جس طرح آدمی کی مادی زندگی ختم ہوجاتی ہے اسی طرح خدا کی نصرت سے محرومی کے بعد آدمی کی ایمانی زندگی کا خاتمہ ہوجاتا ہے۔ لعنت زدہ آدمی لطیف احساسات کے اعتبار سے اس طرح ایک ختم شدہ انسان بن جاتا ہے کہ اس کے اندر حق اور ناحق کی تمیز باقی نہیں رہتی۔ کھلی کھلی نشانیاں سامنے آنے کے بعد بھی اس کو اعتراف کی توفیق نہیں ہوتی۔ وہ لایعنی شوشوں اور واقعی دلائل کے درمیان فرق نہیں کرتا۔
