فَٱصۡبِرۡ إِنَّ وَعۡدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقّٞۚ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعۡضَ ٱلَّذِي نَعِدُهُمۡ أَوۡ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيۡنَا يُرۡجَعُونَ
So be patient, [O Muhammad]; indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And whether We show you some of what We have promised them or We take you in death, it is to Us they will be returned
God has made a promise that He will help the preachers of Truth and defeat its opponents. But the fulfilment of this promise takes place after the adoption of the way of patience. The preacher has to put up with the harassment and provocative behaviour of the other party unilaterally, until, in accordance with God’s methods, the time for the fulfilment of His promise arrives. The real punishment of the opponents of the Truth is that which is awarded to them in the Hereafter. However, in the present world also, they are given a foretaste of what is to come, although this is not necessarily done in every case.
یہ اللہ کا وعدہ ہے کہ وہ حق کے داعیوں کی مدد کرے گا اور حق کے مخالفین کو مغلوب کرے گا۔ مگر اس وعدہ کا تحقق صبر کے بعد ہوتا ہے۔ داعی کو یک طرفہ طورپر فریق ثانی کی ایذاؤں کو برداشت کرنا پڑتا ہے۔ یہاں تک کہ خدا کی سنت کے مطابق اس کے وعدہ کے ظہور کا وقت آجائے۔
مخالفین حق کی اصل سزا وہ ہے جو انھیں آخرت میں ملے گی۔ تاہم موجودہ دنیا میں انھیں اس کا ابتدائی تجربہ کرایا جاتاہے، اگر چہ ہمیشہ ایسا کیا جانا ضروری نہیں۔
