وَمِنۡ ءَايَٰتِهِ ٱلَّيۡلُ وَٱلنَّهَارُ وَٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُۚ لَا تَسۡجُدُواْ لِلشَّمۡسِ وَلَا لِلۡقَمَرِ وَٱسۡجُدُواْۤ لِلَّهِۤ ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَهُنَّ إِن كُنتُمۡ إِيَّاهُ تَعۡبُدُونَ
And of His signs are the night and day and the sun and moon. Do not prostrate to the sun or to the moon, but prostate to Allah, who created them, if it should be Him that you worship
The greatest human blunder is having regard for outward appearances. In ancient times, the sun, the moon and stars appeared quite dazzling to man, so he took them as deities and started worshipping them. In the present age, it is the glamour of the material side of civilization which appears dazzling. So, materialism has now been given the same status as was enjoyed in former times by the sun and the moon, though the sun, the moon and other phenomena are all creations of God. A man should worship the Creator and not His creations. The arrogance of the proud is not related to the call of Truth but to the preacher giving that call. It appears to the leaders of an age that the preacher of Truth is smaller in stature than themselves and that therefore the message conveyed by him is also of lesser import.
انسان کی سب سے بڑی گمراہی اس کی ظاہر پرستی ہے۔ قدیم زمانہ کے انسان کو سورج اور چاند اور ستارے سب سے زیادہ نمایاں نظر آئے ۔ اس لیے اس نے ان مظاہر کو خدا سمجھ لیا اور ان کو پوجنا شروع کر دیا۔ موجودہ زمانہ میں مادی تہذیب کی جگمگاہٹ لوگوں کو نمایاں دکھائی دے رہی ہے ۔اس لیے اب مادی تہذیب کو وہ مقام دے دیا گیا ہے جو قدیم زمانہ میں سورج اور چاند کو حاصل تھا۔ حالانکہ خواہ سورج اور چاند ہوں یا دوسرے مظاہر سب کے سب خدا کی مخلوق ہیں۔انسان کو چاہیے کہ وہ خالق کا پرستار رہے نہ کہ اس کی مخلوقات کا۔ تکبر کرنے والوں کا تکبر دعوت کے مقابلے میں نہیں ہوتا، بلکہ ہمیشہ داعی کے مقابلے میں ہوتا ہے ۔ وقت کے بڑوں کو بظاہر داعی اپنے سے چھوٹا نظر آتا ہے ۔اس لیے وہ اس کو چھوٹا سمجھ لیتے ہیں اور اسی کے ساتھ اس کی طرف سے پیش کئے جانے والے پیغام کو بھی ۔
