وَإِذۡ صَرَفۡنَآ إِلَيۡكَ نَفَرٗا مِّنَ ٱلۡجِنِّ يَسۡتَمِعُونَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوهُ قَالُوٓاْ أَنصِتُواْۖ فَلَمَّا قُضِيَ وَلَّوۡاْ إِلَىٰ قَوۡمِهِم مُّنذِرِينَ
And [mention, O Muhammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur'an. And when they attended it, they said, "Listen quietly." And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners
In the tenth year of Muhammad’s prophethood in Makkah, the life and work of the Prophet were becoming seriously jeopardized. At that time he went from Makkah to Taif in the hope that he might find some supporters there. But the people there received him rudely. While returning, spent the night at a place called Nakhla. He was reciting the Quran while offering prayers there, when a group of Jinn heard the Quran and became believers in it. One group rejected the Quran. But, at that very moment, another group accepted it and did so with such eagerness that they became its emissaries.
نبوت کے دسویں سال مکہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے حالات بے حد سخت ہوچکے تھے۔ اس وقت آپ نے مکہ سے طائف کی طرف سفر فرمایا کہ شاید آپ کو کچھ ساتھ دینے والے مل سکیں۔ مگر وہاں کے لوگوں نے آپ کا بہت برُا استقبال کیا۔ واپسی میں آپ رات گزارنے کے لیے نخلہ کے مقام پر ٹھہرے۔ یہاں آپ نماز میں قرآن کی تلاوت فرما رہے تھے کہ جنات کے ایک گروہ نے قرآن کو سنا۔ اور وہ اسی وقت اس کے مومن بن گئے— ایک گروہ قرآن کو رد کر رہا تھا۔ مگر عین اسی وقت دوسرا گروہ قرآن کو قبول کر رہا تھا۔ اور اتنی شدت کے ساتھ قبول کر رہا تھا کہ اسی وقت وہ اس کا مبلغ بن گیا۔
اللہ کے داعی کی بات کو رد کرنا گویا خدا کے منصوبہ کو رد کرنا ہے۔ مگر انسان کے لیے یہ ممکن نہیں کہ وہ خدا کے منصوبہ کو رد کرسکے۔ اس لیے ایسی کوشش کرنے والے کا انجام صرف یہ ہوتا ہے کہ وہ خود رد ہو کر رہ جاتا ہے۔
