إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَصَدُّواْ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَشَآقُّواْ ٱلرَّسُولَ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ لَن يَضُرُّواْ ٱللَّهَ شَيۡـٔٗا وَسَيُحۡبِطُ أَعۡمَٰلَهُمۡ
Indeed, those who disbelieved and averted [people] from the path of Allah and opposed the Messenger after guidance had become clear to them - never will they harm Allah at all, and He will render worthless their deeds
When a man struggles for the cause of religion, he has to undergo different experiences, which are a test of his Faith: he must prove his steadfastness of belief by making sacrifices, crush his self, ignore his material interests, tolerate harassment; and remain steadfast in his devotion to God, even at the cost of his life and property. In order to place the believer in such circumstances, it is necessary for non-believers to have full freedom, so that they may indulge in all sorts of activities against the people of Faith. These activities, on the one hand, establish the guilt of opponents beyond doubt and, on the other, give the opportunity to the people of Faith to show that, by being steadfast in their Faith under the most trying circumstances, they are real believers and are entitled to be selected for the eternal afterlife in God’s ideal world.
آدمی جب ایمان کو لے کر کھڑا ہوتا ہے تو اس پر مختلف حالات پیش آتے ہیں۔ یہ حالات اس کے ایمان کا امتحان ہوتے ہیں۔ وہ تقاضا کرتے ہیں کہ وہ قربانی کی قیمت پر اپنے مومن ہونے کا ثبوت دے۔ وہ اپنے نفس کو کچلے۔ وہ اپنے مادی مفادات کو نظر انداز کرے۔ وہ لوگوں کی ایذا رسانی کو برداشت کرے۔ حتیٰ کہ جان و مال کو کھپا کر اپنے ایمان پر قائم رہے۔
مومن کو اس قسم کے حالات میں ڈالنے کے لیے ضروری ہے کہ غیر مومنین کو کھلی آزادی حاصل ہو تاکہ وہ اہل ایمان کے خلاف ہر قسم کی کارروائیاں کرسکیں۔ ان کارروائیوں کے ذریعہ ایک طرف مخالفین کا جرم ثابت شدہ بنتا ہے۔ دوسری طرف ان شدید حالات میں اہل ایمان ثابت قدم رہ کر دکھا دیتے ہیں کہ وہ واقعی مومن ہیں اور اس قابل ہیں کہ خدا کی معیاری دنیا میں بسانے کے لیے ان کا انتخاب کیا جائے۔
