وَٱعۡلَمُوٓاْ أَنَّ فِيكُمۡ رَسُولَ ٱللَّهِۚ لَوۡ يُطِيعُكُمۡ فِي كَثِيرٖ مِّنَ ٱلۡأَمۡرِ لَعَنِتُّمۡ وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ حَبَّبَ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡإِيمَٰنَ وَزَيَّنَهُۥ فِي قُلُوبِكُمۡ وَكَرَّهَ إِلَيۡكُمُ ٱلۡكُفۡرَ وَٱلۡفُسُوقَ وَٱلۡعِصۡيَانَۚ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلرَّـٰشِدُونَ
And know that among you is the Messenger of Allah. If he were to obey you in much of the matter, you would be in difficulty, but Allah has endeared to you the faith and has made it pleasing in your hearts and has made hateful to you disbelief, defiance and disobedience. Those are the [rightly] guided
If anyone provides information about another which takes the form of allegations against the latter, ready acceptance of this news on simply hearing it is absolutely against the precautions imposed by the Faith. It is essential on the part of the hearer of the news to make the necessary investigation about it, and whatever opinion he forms should be after impartial inquiry and not before. It frequently happens that when information of this kind is received, there are immediate suggestions of taking punitive action. This is a case of gross irresponsibility. Nobody should form any opinion about such news before investigation; nor should others suggest direct action without a thorough probe. Those who tread the path of righteousness and guidance develop an entirely different temperament from those who do not. They are averse to levelling allegations against others. They prefer to remain silent rather than talk about a supposed misdemeanour which is as yet uninvestigated. Being of such a nature is an indication of their having been blessed with a share in God’s Graces. The Faith that has really permeated their lives now is being acknowledged in verbal form.
کوئی آدمی دوسرے شخص کے بارے میں اگر ایسی خبر دے جس میں اس شخص پر کوئی الزام آتا ہو تو ایسی خبر کو محض سُن کر مان لینا ایمانی احتیاط کے سراسر خلاف ہے۔ سننے والے پر لازم ہے کہ وہ اس کی ضروری تحقیق کرے، اور جو رائے قائم کرے غیر جانب دارانہ تحقیق کے بعد کرے، نہ کہ تحقیق سے پہلے۔
اکثر ایسا ہوتا ہے کہ جب اس قسم کی خبر ایک شخص کو ملتی ہے تو اس کے ساتھی فوراً اس کے خلاف اقدام کی باتیں کرنے لگتے ہیں۔ یہ سخت غیر ذمہ داری کی بات ہے۔ نہ کسی آدمی کو ایسی خبر پر قبل از تحقیق کوئی رائے قائم کرنا چاہيے اور نہ اس کے ساتھیوں کو قبل از تحقیق اقدام کا مشورہ دینا چاہيے۔
جو لوگ واقعی ہدایت کے راستہ پر آجائیں ان کے اندر بالکل مختلف مزاج پیدا ہوتا ہے۔ دوسروں پر الزام تراشی سے انہیں نفرت ہوجاتی ہے۔ غیر تحقیقی بات پر بولنے سے زیادہ اس پر چپ رہنا پسند کرتے ہیں۔ ان کا یہ مزاج اس بات کی علامت ہوتا ہے کہ ان کو خدا کی رحمتوں میں سے حصہ ملا ہے۔ وہ ایمان فی الواقع ان کی زندگیوں میں اترا ہے جس کا وہ اپنی زبان سے اقرار کر رہے ہیں۔
