ءَأَنتُمۡ تَزۡرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمۡ نَحۡنُ ٱلزَّـٰرِعُونَ
Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower
For one who ponders over these events, there are countless lessons. In them there is proof of a second life after the present life. Similarly, there is a sure indication in them that He who has given things can also take them away. Then, there is the example of water. Reservoirs of water are mostly found here in the shape of seas containing salt water. About 98 percent of the water is found in seas and one tenth of its volume is made up of salt. It is a miracle of God’s law that when water vapour rises from the sea, pure water rises and the salt is left below. The fact is that the system of rain is a huge universal desalination process. Had this natural arrangement not been in place, all of the water in the world would have been brackish just like sea water. The snow on mountain peaks, the water flowing in rivers would all have been extremely salty. In spite of the vast stores of water on the earth, the non-availability of fresh water would have presented an insurmountable problem for humanity. If man gave this matter consideration, his heart would be full of praises for God.
ماں کے پیٹ سے انسان کا پیدا ہونا، زمین سے کھیتی کا اگنا، بادل سے پانی کا برسنا، ایندھن سے آگ کا حاصل ہونا، یہ سب چیزیں براہ راست خدا کی طرف سے ہیں۔ آدمی کو ان کے ملنے پر خدا کا شکر گزار ہونا چاہيے۔ ان کو خدا کا عطیہ سمجھنا چاہيے، نہ کہ اپنے عمل کا نتیجہ۔
ان واقعات میں غور کرنے والے کے لیے بے شمار نصیحتیں ہیں۔ ان میں موجودہ زندگی کے بعد دوسری زندگی کا ثبوت ہے۔ اسی طرح ان میں یہ نشانی ہے کہ جس نے ان کو دیا ہے وہ ان کو چھین بھی سکتا ہے۔ پھر اسی کا ایک نمونہ پانی کا معاملہ ہے۔ پانی کا ذخیرہ سمندروں کی صورت میں ہے جو کہ زیادہ تر کھاری ہیں۔ پانی کا تقریباً

فی صد حصہ سمندر میں ہے۔ اور سمندر کے پانی کا 1/10حصہ نمک ہوتا ہے۔ یہ خدا کے قانون کا کرشمہ ہے کہ سمندر سے جب پانی کے بخارات اٹھتے ہیں تو خالص پانی اوپر اڑ جاتا ہے اور نمک نیچے رہ جاتا ہے۔ حقیقت یہ ہے کہ بارش کا عمل ازالۂ نمک (Desalination) کا ایک عظیم آفاتی عمل ہے۔ اگر یہ قدرتی اہتمام نہ ہو تو سارا کا سارا پانی ویسا ہی کھاری ہوجائے جیسا سمندر کا پانی ہوتا ہے۔ پہاڑوں پر جمی ہوئی برف اور دریاؤں میں بہنے والا پانی سب کے سب سخت کھاری ہوں، زمین پر پانی کے اتھاہ ذخیروں کے باوجود میٹھے پانی کا حصول انسانیت کے لیے سخت ناقابل حل مسئلہ بن جائے۔ آدمی اگر اس کو سوچے تو اس كاسینہ حمدِ خداوندی کے جذبہ سے بھر جائے گا۔
