وَلَوۡ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيۡنَا بَعۡضَ ٱلۡأَقَاوِيلِ
And if Muhammad had made up about Us some [false] sayings
It literally means, ‘whatever you see and whatever you do not see bear testimony to the veracity of this discourse’ that is, whatever knowledge was at the command of humanity at the time the Quran was revealed and whatever was going to come within its reach thereafter, both go to prove the truth of the messenger’s utterances. Neither the present available knowledge contradicts the Quran being the Truth, nor will future knowledge be able to do so. In spite of this, those who do not accept it simply prove that they are not serious about Truth and Untruth.
جو کچھ تم دیکھتے ہو اور جو کچھ تم نہیں دیکھتے سب اس کلام کی صداقت پر گواہ ہے— اس کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ نزولِ قرآن کے وقت جو معلومات انسان کی دسترس میں آچکی تھیں اور جو بعد کے زمانہ میں اس کی دسترس میں آنے والی تھیں، دونوں اس کلام کی حقانیت ثابت کرنے والی ہیں۔ اس کلام کے برحق ہونے کی تردید نہ حال کا علم کر رہا ہے اور نہ مستقبل کا علم اس کی تردید کرسکے گا۔ اس کے باوجود جو لوگ ا س کو نہ مانیں وہ اپنے بارے میں صرف یہ ثابت کر رہے ہیں کہ وہ حق اور ناحق کے معاملہ میں سنجیدہ نہیں۔
