ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّخَذُواْ دِينَهُمۡ لَهۡوٗا وَلَعِبٗا وَغَرَّتۡهُمُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ نَنسَىٰهُمۡ كَمَا نَسُواْ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِهِمۡ هَٰذَا وَمَا كَانُواْ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَجۡحَدُونَ
Who took their religion as distraction and amusement and whom the worldly life deluded." So today We will forget them just as they forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs and for having rejected Our verses
The world offers a spread of two types of food—one worldly and the other other-worldly. There is one kind of man whose soul derives nourishment from seeing his ‘self’ receive prominence. He feels very happy when he is surrounded by worldly glories. He considers himself successful on procuring and becoming the owner of worldly material goods. This man is completely forgetful of God and the life of the Hereafter. If anything relating to God is brought to his attention, he will consider it insignificant and ignore it. He will deal with it superficially, as if it were not a serious matter but a trivial charade. For such a person there will be no share in the bounties of Hereafter. He has fostered such a soul in himself as could derive nourishment only from worldly materials. Then, how can his soul be nourished by the things of the Hereafter? For one who has not lived for the Hereafter in his life today cannot be held deserving for God’s blessings in the Hereafter. The other kind of person is one who has been lost in unseen realities; whose soul could relish the remembrance of the Hereafter; whose bread and butter will be living in God and breathing in the atmosphere of God. This will be the man for whom the Hereafter will be a place where he will find all the good things he desires. But just as he had found God in the world of the unseen, so will he find God in the seen world of the Hereafter. Why does it happen that, in this world of God, man forgets God? The reason is that God makes His appearance felt in the world through signs which come within human grasp only on reflection. Man leans towards outward things and ignores the signs pointing to God. But any such action amounts to forsaking the Hereafter for the sake of the world. And one who takes no account of the Hereafter in the life before death will be deprived of the Hereafter even in the life after death. When people show blatant disregard for something which has been presented to them by God as the Truth, they in effect are treating God Himself as being so unimportant as to be undeserving of any serious consideration. They may possibly be deceived by the divine forces underlying Truth remaining invisible, but they nevertheless risk being ignored by God on the Day of Reckoning, just as they — imagining that no harm could come to them thereby—ignored God in this life.
دنیا دو قسم کی غذاؤں کا دستر خوان ہے۔ ایک دنیوی اور دوسری اخروی۔ ایک انسان وہ ہے جس کی روح کی غذا یہ ہے کہ وہ اپنی ذات کو نمایاں ہوتے ہوئے دیکھے۔ دنیا کی رونقیں اپنے گرد پاکر اسے خوشی حاصل ہوتی ہے۔ مادی سازوسامان کا مالک ہو کر وہ اپنے کو کامیاب سمجھتاہے۔ ایسا آدمی خدا اور آخرت کو بھولا ہوا ہے۔ اس کے سامنے خدا کی بات آئے گی تو وہ اس کوغیر اہم سمجھ کر نظر انداز کردے گا۔ وہ اس کے ساتھ ایسا سرسری سلوک کرے گا جیسے وہ کوئی سنجیدہ معاملہ نہ ہو بلکہ محض کھیل تماشا ہو۔
ایسے آدمی کے ليے آخرت کے انعامات میں کوئی حصہ نہیں۔ اس نے اپنے اندر ایک ایسی روح کی پرورش کی جس کی غذا صرف دنیا کی چیزیں بن سکتی تھیں۔ پھرآخرت کی چیزوں سے اس کی روح کیوں کر اپني خوراک پاسکتی ہے۔ جو انسان آج آخرت میں نہ جیا ہو اس کے ليے آخرت کل کے دن بھی زندگی کا ذریعہ نہیں بن سکتی۔
دوسرا نسان وہ ہے جو غیبی حقیقتوں میں گم رہا ہو۔ جس کی روح کو آخرت کی یاد میں لذت ملی ہو۔ جس کی غذا یہ رہی ہو کہ وہ خدا میں جيے اور خدا کی فضاؤں میں سانس لے۔ یہی وہ انسان ہے جس کے ليے آخرت رزق کا دسترخوان بنے گی۔ وہ جنت کے باغوں میں اپنے ليے زندگی کا سامان حاصل کرلے گا۔ اس نے عالم غیب میں خدا کو پایا تھا اس ليے عالم شہود میں بھی وہ خدا کو پالے گا۔
خدا کی دنیا میں آدمی خداکو کیوں بھلا دیتاہے۔ اس کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ خدا ایسی نشانیوں کے ساتھ سامنے آتا ہے جو صرف سوچنے سے ذہن کی پکڑ میں آتی ہیں، جب کہ دنیا کی چیزیں آنکھوں کے سامنے اپنی تمام رونقوں کے ساتھ موجود ہوتی ہیں۔ آدمی ظاہری چیزوں کی طرف جھک جاتا ہے اور خدا کی طرف اشارہ کرنے والی نشانیوں کو نظر انداز کردیتا ہے۔ مگر ایسا ہر عمل دنیا کی قیمت پر آخرت کوچھوڑنا ہے۔ اور جس نے موت سے پہلے والی زندگی میں آخرت کو چھوڑا وہ موت کے بعد والی زندگی میں بھی آخرت سے محروم رہے گا۔
اللہ جب ایک چیز کو حق کی حیثیت سے لوگوں کے سامنے لائے اور وہ اس کو اہمیت نہ دیں، وہ اس کے ساتھ غیر سنجیدہ معاملہ کریں تو یہ دراصل خود خدا کو غیر اہم سمجھنا اوراس کے ساتھ غيرسنجیدہ معاملہ کرنا ہے۔دنیا میں حق کو نظر انداز کرنے سے آدمی کا کچھ بگڑتا نہیں، حق کی پشت پر جو خدائی طاقتیں ہیں وہ ابھی غیب میں ہونے کی وجہ سے اس کو نظر نہیں آتیں۔یہ صورت حال اس کو دھوکے میں ڈال دیتی ہے۔ جو لوگ اس طرح حق کو نظر انداز کریں وہ یہ خطرہ مول لیتے ہیں کہ خدا بھی آخرت کے دن انھیں نظر انداز کردے۔
