1وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ عُرۡفٗاBy those [winds] sent forth in gusts2فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصۡفٗاAnd the winds that blow violently3وَٱلنَّـٰشِرَٰتِ نَشۡرٗاAnd [by] the winds that spread [clouds]4فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرۡقٗاAnd those [angels] who bring criterion5فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًاAnd those [angels] who deliver a message6عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًاAs justification or warning7إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعٞIndeed, what you are promised is to occur8فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡSo when the stars are obliterated9وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡAnd when the heaven is opened10وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡAnd when the mountains are blown away11وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡAnd when the messengers' time has come12لِأَيِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡFor what Day was it postponed13لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِFor the Day of Judgement14وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِAnd what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement15وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers16أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَDid We not destroy the former peoples17ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَThen We will follow them with the later ones18كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَThus do We deal with the criminals19وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers20أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءٖ مَّهِينٖDid We not create you from a liquid disdained21فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ فِي قَرَارٖ مَّكِينٍAnd We placed it in a firm lodging22إِلَىٰ قَدَرٖ مَّعۡلُومٖFor a known extent23فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَٰدِرُونَAnd We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine24وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers25أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًاHave We not made the earth a container26أَحۡيَآءٗ وَأَمۡوَٰتٗاOf the living and the dead27وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ شَٰمِخَٰتٖ وَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُم مَّآءٗ فُرَاتٗاAnd We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water28وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers29ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ[They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny30ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ظِلّٖ ذِي ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبٖProceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns31لَّا ظَلِيلٖ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ[But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame32إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِي بِشَرَرٖ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِIndeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress33كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتٞ صُفۡرٞAs if they were yellowish [black] camels34وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers35هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَThis is a Day they will not speak36وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَNor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse37وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers38هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَٰكُمۡ وَٱلۡأَوَّلِينَThis is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples39فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدٞ فَكِيدُونِSo if you have a plan, then plan against Me40وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers41إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَٰلٖ وَعُيُونٖIndeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs42وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَAnd fruits from whatever they desire43كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ[Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do44إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَIndeed, We thus reward the doers of good45وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers46كُلُواْ وَتَمَتَّعُواْ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ[O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals47وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers48وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُواْ لَا يَرۡكَعُونَAnd when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow49وَيۡلٞ يَوۡمَئِذٖ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَWoe, that Day, to the deniers50فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَThen in what statement after the Qur'an will they believe
