وَسَخَّرَ لَكُمُ ٱلَّيۡلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ وَٱلشَّمۡسَ وَٱلۡقَمَرَۖ وَٱلنُّجُومُ مُسَخَّرَٰتُۢ بِأَمۡرِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَأٓيَٰتٖ لِّقَوۡمٖ يَعۡقِلُونَ
And He has subjected for you the night and day and the sun and moon, and the stars are subjected by His command. Indeed in that are signs for a people who reason
The sun, the moon and the stars all revolve continuously in the vastness of space with total precision. On the earth, there are innumerable examples of God’s creation (animals, vegetation, rocks and minerals, etc.). The former phenomenon highlights the totally submissive aspect of creation, (musakhkharatun bi amrihi), while the latter phenomenon highlights the endless variety of creation (mukhtalifan alwanuhu). The first scene reminds man of the limitlessness of God’s power, while the second scene reminds him of the multiplicity of God’s attributes. These scenes are so wonderful that the keen-eyed observer cannot remain unaffected by them. In these things, he will see God’s majesty and His role as Sustainer; he will discover unseen realities hidden in external occurrences; by looking at God’s creations, he will be immersed in the realization of the Creator.
سورج، چاند، ستارے وسیع خلا میں انتہائی صحت کے ساتھ مسلسل گردش کرتے ہیں۔ زمین میں طرح طرح کی مخلوقات (حیوانات، نباتات، جمادات) بے شمار تعداد میں پائی جاتی ہیں۔ اوّل الذکر میں تسخیر امر کا پہلو نمایاں ہے۔ اور ثانی الذکر میں اختلاف الوان کا پہلو۔ ایک منظر خدا کی قدرت کے بے پناہ ہونے کو یاد دلاتا ہے۔ دوسرا منظر خدائی صفات کے اَن گنت ہونے کو۔
یہ مناظر اتنے حیرت ناک ہیں کہ جو شخص ان کو نظر ٹھہرا کر دیکھے وہ ان سے متاثر ہوئے بغیر نہیں رہ سکتا۔ ان چیزوں میں اس کو خدا کی عظمت اور اس کی ربوبیت دکھائی دے گی۔ وہ ظاہری واقعات کے اندر چھپے ہوئے غیبی حقائق کو دریافت کرے گا۔ وہ مخلوقات کو دیکھ کر خالق کی معرفت میں ڈوب جائے گا۔
