وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمۡ ثُمَّ يَتَوَفَّىٰكُمۡۚ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُرَدُّ إِلَىٰٓ أَرۡذَلِ ٱلۡعُمُرِ لِكَيۡ لَا يَعۡلَمَ بَعۡدَ عِلۡمٖ شَيۡـًٔاۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلِيمٞ قَدِيرٞ
And Allah created you; then He will take you in death. And among you is he who is reversed to the most decrepit [old] age so that he will not know, after [having had] knowledge, a thing. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Competent
Life as it manifests itself on the earth presents many aspects—one who was non-existent comes into being in the world; then everybody dies, but not at one time. Somebody dies in childhood and another in youth and yet another in old age. Then it is a very strange occurrence that at the last stage of his life, a man loses his mental powers, his knowledge and his physical strength completely. Man is apparently free in the present world. But he has no control over any aspect of his life. All this happens to show man that perfect knowledge and power belong only to God. Man has no say in the above-mentioned type of events that occur in a man’s life: he is not capable of bringing about any change in them. This proves that whatever is happening is happening at the instance of some other being; man’s life as a whole, right from childhood up to his death, bears testimony to the fact that here all knowledge belongs to God and all power rests with God—man’s helplessness is the proof of the all-powerful existence of God.
زندگی کا مظہر جو زمین پر ہے اس کے کئی پہلو انسان کے سامنے آتے ہیں— ایک شخص نہیں تھا اس کے بعد وہ دنیا میں موجود ہوگیا،پھر ہر ایک مرتا ہے مگر سب کا ایک وقت نہیں۔ کوئی بچپن میں مرتا ہے، کوئی جوانی میں اور کوئی بڑھاپے میں۔ پھر یہ منظر بھی عجیب ہے کہ عمر کی آخری حد پر پہنچ کر عقل اور علم اور طاقت آدمی سے بالکل رخصت ہوجاتے ہیں۔ انسان موجودہ زمین پر بظاہر آزاد ہے مگر اس کو اپنی کسی چیز پر کوئی اختیار نہیں۔
یہ سب اس لیے ہوتا ہے کہ تاکہ انسان کو بتایا جائے کہ علم اور قدرت دونوں صرف خدا کا حصہ ہیں۔ انسانی زندگی میں مذکورہ قسم کے جو واقعات پیش آتے ہیں ان میں انسان کا اپنا کوئی دخل نہیں۔ وہ ان میں کوئی تبدیلی کرنے پر قادر نہیں۔ اس سے ثابت ہوتاہے کہ جو کچھ ہور ہا ہے وہ کسی اور کرنے والے کے ذریعے ہورہا ہے۔ بچپن سے موت تک انسان کی زندگی یہ گواہی دیتی ہے کہ یہاں سارا علم بھی صرف خدا کے لیے ہے اور ساری قدرت بھی صرف خدا کے لیے— انسان کی مجبوری قادر مطلق خدا کی موجودگی کا ثبوت ہے۔
