لَعَلِّيٓ أَعۡمَلُ صَٰلِحٗا فِيمَا تَرَكۡتُۚ كَلَّآۚ إِنَّهَا كَلِمَةٌ هُوَ قَآئِلُهَاۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِم بَرۡزَخٌ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ يُبۡعَثُونَ
That I might do righteousness in that which I left behind." No! It is only a word he is saying; and behind them is a barrier until the Day they are resurrected
As soon as man dies, he is separated from the present world and reaches a point of no-return. Now, he realises that the life Hereafter, which he had hitherto ignored, was in fact the real target in life. The possessions of the pre-death period were for the purpose of earning credit towards the life Hereafter and not as ends in themselves. So, after death, he will immediately want to be sent back to this world. But this will not be possible, because in accordance with the creation plan of God, every man is given only one chance. In the present world man relies on his friends and relatives, but on Judgement Day he will be all alone. There, only his good deeds will be of avail. Nothing else will save him.
آخرت کے مناظر آنکھوں سے دیکھ لینے کے بعد کسی کویہ موقع نہیں دیا جائے گا کہ وہ دوبارہ موجودہ دنیا میں آکر رہے اور صحیح عمل کا ثبوت دے۔ کیوں کہ دنیا کی زندگی کا مقصد امتحان ہے— اس بات کا امتحان کہ آدمی دیکھے بغیر جھکتا ہے یا نہیں۔ جب آخرت کا مشاہدہ کرادیا جائے تو اس کے بعد نہ جھکنے کی کوئی قیمت ہے اور نہ واپس بھیجنے کا کوئی امکان۔
آدمی کا امتحان دیکھ کر ماننے میں نہیں ہے بلکہ سوچ کر ماننے میں ہے۔ طالب علم کی جانچ پرچہ آؤٹ ہونے سے پہلے کی جاتی ہے۔ جب پرچہ آؤٹ ہو کر اخباروں میں چھپ چکا ہو، اس کے بعد کسی طالب علم کی جانچ کرنے کا کوئی سوال نہیں۔
