1وَٱلۡفَجۡرِBy the dawn2وَلَيَالٍ عَشۡرٖAnd [by] ten nights3وَٱلشَّفۡعِ وَٱلۡوَتۡرِAnd [by] the even [number] and the odd4وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا يَسۡرِAnd [by] the night when it passes5هَلۡ فِي ذَٰلِكَ قَسَمٞ لِّذِي حِجۡرٍIs there [not] in [all] that an oath [sufficient] for one of perception6أَلَمۡ تَرَ كَيۡفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِعَادٍHave you not considered how your Lord dealt with 'Aad7إِرَمَ ذَاتِ ٱلۡعِمَادِ[With] Iram - who had lofty pillars8ٱلَّتِي لَمۡ يُخۡلَقۡ مِثۡلُهَا فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِThe likes of whom had never been created in the land9وَثَمُودَ ٱلَّذِينَ جَابُواْ ٱلصَّخۡرَ بِٱلۡوَادِAnd [with] Thamud, who carved out the rocks in the valley10وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ ذِي ٱلۡأَوۡتَادِAnd [with] Pharaoh, owner of the stakes11ٱلَّذِينَ طَغَوۡاْ فِي ٱلۡبِلَٰدِ[All of] whom oppressed within the lands12فَأَكۡثَرُواْ فِيهَا ٱلۡفَسَادَAnd increased therein the corruption13فَصَبَّ عَلَيۡهِمۡ رَبُّكَ سَوۡطَ عَذَابٍSo your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment14إِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَبِٱلۡمِرۡصَادِIndeed, your Lord is in observation15فَأَمَّا ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ رَبُّهُۥ فَأَكۡرَمَهُۥ وَنَعَّمَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَكۡرَمَنِAnd as for man, when his Lord tries him and [thus] is generous to him and favors him, he says, "My Lord has honored me10 lectures →16وَأَمَّآ إِذَا مَا ٱبۡتَلَىٰهُ فَقَدَرَ عَلَيۡهِ رِزۡقَهُۥ فَيَقُولُ رَبِّيٓ أَهَٰنَنِBut when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, "My Lord has humiliated me3 lectures →17كَلَّاۖ بَل لَّا تُكۡرِمُونَ ٱلۡيَتِيمَNo! But you do not honor the orphan18وَلَا تَحَـٰٓضُّونَ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِAnd you do not encourage one another to feed the poor19وَتَأۡكُلُونَ ٱلتُّرَاثَ أَكۡلٗا لَّمّٗاAnd you consume inheritance, devouring [it] altogether20وَتُحِبُّونَ ٱلۡمَالَ حُبّٗا جَمّٗاAnd you love wealth with immense love21كَلَّآۖ إِذَا دُكَّتِ ٱلۡأَرۡضُ دَكّٗا دَكّٗاNo! When the earth has been leveled - pounded and crushed1 lecture →22وَجَآءَ رَبُّكَ وَٱلۡمَلَكُ صَفّٗا صَفّٗاAnd your Lord has come and the angels, rank upon rank1 lecture →23وَجِاْيٓءَ يَوۡمَئِذِۭ بِجَهَنَّمَۚ يَوۡمَئِذٖ يَتَذَكَّرُ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰAnd brought [within view], that Day, is Hell - that Day, man will remember, but what good to him will be the remembrance24يَقُولُ يَٰلَيۡتَنِي قَدَّمۡتُ لِحَيَاتِيHe will say, "Oh, I wish I had sent ahead [some good] for my life25فَيَوۡمَئِذٖ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُۥٓ أَحَدٞSo on that Day, none will punish [as severely] as His punishment26وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُۥٓ أَحَدٞAnd none will bind [as severely] as His binding [of the evildoers]27يَـٰٓأَيَّتُهَا ٱلنَّفۡسُ ٱلۡمُطۡمَئِنَّةُ[To the righteous it will be said], "O reassured soul18 lectures →28ٱرۡجِعِيٓ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكِ رَاضِيَةٗ مَّرۡضِيَّةٗReturn to your Lord, well-pleased and pleasing [to Him]3 lectures →29فَٱدۡخُلِي فِي عِبَٰدِيAnd enter among My [righteous] servants1 lecture →30وَٱدۡخُلِي جَنَّتِيAnd enter My Paradise
