1أَلَمۡ نَشۡرَحۡ لَكَ صَدۡرَكَDid We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast1 lecture →2وَوَضَعۡنَا عَنكَ وِزۡرَكَAnd We removed from you your burden3ٱلَّذِيٓ أَنقَضَ ظَهۡرَكَWhich had weighed upon your back4وَرَفَعۡنَا لَكَ ذِكۡرَكَAnd raised high for you your repute5 lectures →5فَإِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرًاFor indeed, with hardship [will be] ease18 lectures →6إِنَّ مَعَ ٱلۡعُسۡرِ يُسۡرٗاIndeed, with hardship [will be] ease10 lectures →7فَإِذَا فَرَغۡتَ فَٱنصَبۡSo when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]8وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَٱرۡغَبAnd to your Lord direct [your] longing
