- 3:29 This chapter was revealed before Hijra. دس چیپٹر واز ریویلڈ بیفور ہجرہ۔
- 3:35 Before Hijra, when Prophet was in Makkah. بیفور ہجرہ، وین پرافٹ واز ان مکہ۔
- 3:41 You know, the Prophet started his mission, his prophetic mission in Mecca in 610 AD. یو نو، پرافٹ سٹارٹڈ ہز مشن، ہز پرافیٹک مشن ان مکہ ان 610 اے ڈی۔
- 3:48 Then there was great hostilities. دین دیر واز گریٹ ہوسٹیلٹیز۔
- 3:54 Prophet's mission was mission of Tawhid, oneness of God. پرافٹس مشن واز مشن اف توحید، وننس اف گاڈ۔
- 4:00 And during those days, people in Mecca were idol worshipers. اینڈ ڈیورنگ دوز ڈیز، پیپل ان مکہ ویر ائیڈل ورشپرز۔
- 4:06 They were very very sensitive regarding their belief. دے ویر ویری ویری سینسٹیو ریگارڈنگ دیر بیلیف۔
- 4:13 So they were at the time, they were not ready to accept or tolerate Tawhid. سو دیر وار ایٹ دا ٹائم، دیر وار ناٹ ریڈی ٹو ایکسیپٹ اور ٹولریٹ توحید۔
- 4:19 So they become hostile. سو دے بیکم ہوسٹائل۔
- 4:25 Although some of them accepted Islam, they are called Sahaba. الدو سم اف دیم ایکسیپٹڈ اسلام، دے ار کالڈ صحابہ۔
- 4:31 But the majority of Makkan people refused to accept. بٹ دا میجورٹی اف میکن پیپل ریفیوز ٹو ایکسیپٹ۔
- 4:38 They become hostile. دے بیکم ہوسٹائل۔
- 4:44 And they inflicted all kind of atrocities against the Prophet and against his companions. اینڈ دے انفلکٹڈ ال کائنڈ اف اٹراسٹیز اگینسٹ دا پرافٹ اینڈ اگینسٹ ہز کمپینینز۔
- 4:50 This was the situation. دس واز دا سچویشن۔
- 4:57 This was the background. دس واز دا بیک گراؤنڈ۔
- 5:03 And in this background, in this hostile situation, this verse was revealed. اینڈ ان دس بیک گراؤنڈ، ان دس ہوسٹائل سچویشن، دس ورس واز ریویلڈ۔
- 5:09 wajahidhum bihi jihadan kabira. وجاہدہم بہ جہاد کبیرہ۔
- 5:15 Do great jihad against them with the help of the Quran. ڈو گریٹ جہاد اگینسٹ دیم ود دی ہیلپ اف دا قرآن۔
- 5:22 Now what is Quran? Quran is book of ideology. ناؤ واٹ از قرآن؟ قرآن از بک اف ائیڈیالوجی۔
- 5:28 Quran is not a sword. قرآن از ناٹ ا سوڈ۔
- 5:34 Quran is not a gun. قرآن از ناٹ ا گن۔
- 5:40 Quran is not a boom. قرآن از ناٹ ا بوم۔
- 5:47 Quran is a book of ideology, book of tawhid. قرآن از اے بک اف ائیڈیالوجی، بک اف توحید۔
- 5:53 So taking that situation, we can say that this verse means that although the situation is very violent, سو ٹیکنگ دیٹ سچویشن، وی کین سے دیٹ دس ورس مینز دیٹ الدو دا سچویشن از ویری وائلنٹ،
- 5:59 There are hostilities. دیر ار ہوسٹیلٹیز۔
- 6:06 But you respond peacefully. بٹ یو ریسپانڈ پیس فلی۔
- 6:12 You have to respond in a peaceful manner. یو ہیو ٹو ریسپانڈ ان ا پیس فل مینر۔
- 6:18 This was the meaning at the time of this verse. دس واز دا میننگ ایٹ دا ٹائم اف دس ورس۔
- 6:24 So this was jihad. سو دس واز جہاد۔
- 6:31 wajahidhum bihi jihadan kabira. وجاہدہم بہ جہاد کبیرہ۔
- 6:37 Do great jihad against them with the help of the Quran. ڈو گریٹ جہاد اگینسٹ دیم ود دی ہیلپ اف دا قرآن۔
- 6:43 It means that met that challenge in a peaceful manner. اٹ مینز دیٹ میٹ دیٹ چیلنج ان ا پیس فل مینر۔
- 6:49 meet that violent challenge. میٹ دیٹ وائلنٹ چیلنج۔
- 6:56 The challenge was violent. چیلنج واز وائلنٹ۔
- 7:02 But you have to respond peacefully. بٹ یو ہیو ٹو ریسپانڈ پیس فلی۔
- 7:08 Now what is Al-Jihad Al-Kabeer? Wajahidhum bihi jihad kabira. Al-Jihad Al-Kabeer. ناؤ واٹ از الجہاد الکبیر؟ وجاہدہم بہ جہاد کبیرہ۔ الجہاد الکبیر۔
- 7:15 There is a hadith. دیر از اے حدیث۔
- 7:21 Once, the Prophet returned from a Ghazwa. ونس پرافٹ ریٹرن فرام ا غزوہ۔
- 7:27 Ghazwa means defensive war. غزوہ مینز ڈیفنسو وار۔
- 7:33 So there was a defensive war. سو دیر واز ا ڈیفنسو وار۔
- 7:40 And when the Prophet returned from this defensive war, he said. اینڈ وین پرافٹ ریٹرن فرام دس ڈیفنسو وار، ہی سیڈ۔
- 7:46 When he reached Madinah, that was his hometown. وین ہی ریچ مدینہ، دیٹ واز ہز ہوم ٹاؤن۔
- 7:52 This hadith pertains to Madinah and not Makkah. دس حدیث پرٹینز ٹو ٹو مدینہ اینڈ ناٹ مکہ۔
- 7:58 So when the prophet returned to Madinah, he said. سو وین پرافٹ ریٹرن ٹو مدینہ، ہی سیڈ۔
- 8:05 rajana min al-jihadi al-asghar ila al-jihadi al-akbar. رجانا من الجہاد الاصغر الی الجہاد الاکبر۔
- 8:11 We return from small jihad to great jihad. وی ریٹرن فرام اسمال جہاد ٹو گریٹ جہاد۔
- 8:17 So what was that? Al-Jihad al-Akbar, that was peaceful da'wah work. سو واٹ واز دیٹ؟ الجہاد الاکبر، دیٹ واز پیس فل دعوی ورک۔
- 8:24 Prophet and companions were engaged in dawah work. پرافٹ اینڈ کمپینینز ویر انگیجڈ ان دعوی ورک۔
- 8:30 Then there was aggression, and they compelled to defense. دین دیر واز ایگریشن، اینڈ دے کمپل ٹو ڈیفنس۔
- 8:36 Then after, then they return from that Ghazwa and reach Madinah. دین افٹر، دین دے ریٹرن فرام دیٹ غزوہ اینڈ ریچ مدینہ۔
- 8:42 At the time, Prophet said. ایٹ دا ٹائم، پرافٹ سیڈ۔
- 8:49 rajana min al-jihadi al-asghar ila al-jihadi al-akbar. رجانا من الجہاد الاصغر الی الجہاد الاکبر۔
- 8:55 We return from small jihad to great jihad. وی ریٹرن فرام اسمال جہاد ٹو گریٹ جہاد۔
- 9:01 It means that peaceful Dawah work was Al-Jihad al-Akbar. Very clear. اٹ مینز دیٹ پیس فل دعوی ورک واز الجہاد الاکبر۔ ویری کلیئر۔
- 9:08 rajana min al-jihadi al-asghar ila al-jihadi al-akbar. رجانا من الجہاد الاصغر الی الجہاد الاکبر۔

- 9:20 But now we have returned to our dawah work. بٹ ناؤ وی ہیو ریٹرن ٹو اور دعوی ورک۔
- 9:26 So dawah work is a peaceful work. سو دعوی ورک از ا پیس فل ورک۔
- 9:33 Dawah work is al-jihad al-akbar. دعوی ورک از الجہاد الاکبر۔
- 9:39 So here you can see a similarity between Quran and Hadith. سو ہیر یو کین سی ا سیمیلریٹی بٹوین قرآن اینڈ حدیث۔
- 9:45 So this verse. سو دس ورس۔
- 9:51 wajahidhum bihi jihadan kabira. وجاہدہم بہ جہاد کبیرہ۔
- 9:58 Here it is Al-Jihad Al-Kabir. ہیر اٹ از الجہاد الکبیر۔
- 10:04 And in Hadith also, there is Al-Jihad al-Kabir. اینڈ ان حدیث السو، دیر از الجہاد الکبیر۔
- 10:10 So al-jihad al-kabir, al-jihad al-akbar means jihad-e dawat. سو الجہاد الکبیر، الجہاد الاکبر مینز جہاد دعوت۔

- 10:35 So the weapon of jihad is not sword. سو دا ویپن اف جہاد از ناٹ سوڈ۔
- 10:42 Weapon of jihad is not gun. ویپن اف جہاد از ناٹ گن۔
- 10:48 Weapon of jihad is dialogue, negotiation, interaction, tolerance, peace, adjustment. ویپن اف جہاد از ڈائیلاگ، نیگوشی ایشن، انٹریکشن، ٹولرنس، پیس، ایڈجسٹمنٹ۔
- 10:54 This is the weapon of jihad. دس از دا ویپن اف جہاد۔
- 11:00 Peaceful Jihad. پیس فل جہاد۔
- 11:07 So, according to the Quran and Hadith, jihad means peaceful struggle. سو اکارڈنگ ٹو قرآن اینڈ حدیث، جہاد مینز پیس فل سٹرگل۔
- 11:13 And in Islam, peaceful struggle means da'wah struggle. اینڈ ان اسلام، پیس فل سٹرگل مینز دعوی سٹرگل۔
- 11:19 The most important task in Islam is Dawah. دا موسٹ امپورٹنٹ ٹاسک ان اسلام از دعوی۔
- 11:26 The Prophet was sent for this purpose. پرافٹ واز سینڈ فار دس پرپس۔
- 11:32 da'i ilallah be iznihi wa sirajum munira. داعی اللہ بے نہیں۔ وسر منیرا۔
- 11:38 So prophet was a dai. سو پرافٹ واز ا داعی۔
- 11:44 All the Muslims are thy. ال دا مسلمز ار دائی۔
- 11:51 likayna al-rasula shaheedan alaykum wa takuna shuhadaa al-nas. لیکون الرسول شہید علیکم وتکون شہداء الناس۔
- 11:57 So the prophet was a dai. سو دا پرافٹ واز ا دائی۔
- 12:03 All his companions were there. ال ہز کمپینینز ویر دائی۔
- 12:09 And now all the Muslims are die. اینڈ ناؤ ال دا مسلمز ار دائی۔
- 12:16 Dawah is the only mission of Muslim, of Ummah, of Ummat Muhammad. دعوی از دا اونلی مشن اف مسلم اف امہ اف امت محمد۔
- 12:22 دعوی is the only concern. دعوی از دا اونلی کنسرن۔
- 12:28 Dawah is the only mission. دعوی از دا اونلی مشن۔
- 12:35 There is no mission except dawah. دیر از نو مشن ایکسیپٹ دعوی۔
- 12:41 Dawah means to convey the message of God. دعوی مینز ٹو کنوے دی میسج اف گاڈ۔
- 12:47 message of God Almighty to to all mankind in a peaceful manner. میسج اف گاڈ المائٹی ٹو ٹو ال مین کائنڈ ان ا پیس فل مینر۔
- 12:53 This is the mission. دس از دا مشن۔
- 13:00 So this is jihad. سو دس از جہاد۔
- 13:06 So it is very clear in the Quran and Hadith that jihad is a peaceful activity. سو اٹ از ویری کلیئر ان دا قرآن اینڈ حدیث دیٹ جہاد از ا پیس فل ایکٹیویٹی۔

- 13:44 If you take jihad in the sense of qital by extending the meaning of jihad. اف یو ٹیک جہاد ان دا سینس اف قتال بائی ایکسٹینڈنگ دا میننگ اف جہاد۔
- 13:50 So I am not going to to to that discussion. سو ائی ایم ناٹ گوئنگ ٹو ٹو ٹو دیٹ ڈسکشن۔
- 13:56 But I will say that qital in Islam is a very very restricted action. بٹ ائی ویل سے دیٹ قتال ان اسلام از ا ویری ویری ریسٹرکٹڈ ایکشن۔
- 14:02 Qital is qital or war. قتال از قتال ار وار۔
- 14:09 War is only against attackers and not against enemy. وار از اونلی اگینسٹ اٹیکرز اور ناٹ اگینسٹ اینمی۔

- 15:24 There is a very important verse in this regard. دیر از ا ویری امپورٹنٹ ورس ان دس ریگارڈ۔
- 15:30 Quran says that. قرآن سیز دیٹ۔
- 15:36 لا تستبل حسنۃ والسیہ بلتی حسن فیض الذی بینک بین عداوه کانه ولی حمیم۔ لا تستبل حسنۃ والسیہ بلتی حسن فیض الذی بینک بین عداوہ کانہ ولی حمیم۔
- 15:43 It means that do good deed in in return of bad deed. اٹ مینز دیٹ ڈو گڈ ڈیڈ ان ان ریٹرن اف بیڈ ڈیڈ۔
- 15:49 Bad deeds means bad deeds from enemies. بیڈ ڈیڈ مینز بیڈ ڈیڈ فرام اینمیز۔
- 15:55 If there are some enemies and they are doing bad deeds, you are not allowed to respond badly. اف دیر ار سم اینمیز اینڈ دے ار ڈوئنگ بیڈ ڈیڈ، یو ار ناٹ الاؤڈ ٹو ریسپانڈ بیڈلی۔
- 16:02 So Quran says that do good deed in return for bad deed. سو قرآن سیز دیٹ ڈو گڈ ڈیڈ ان ریٹرن فار بیڈ ڈیڈ۔
- 16:08 Then you see, then you will find that your enemy has become your dearest friend. دین یو سی، دین یو ویل فائنڈ دیٹ یور اینمی ہیز بیکم یور ڈیئرسٹ فرینڈ۔

- 16:20 Do good deed in return for bad deed of enemy. ڈو گڈ ڈیڈ ان ریٹرن فار بیڈ ڈیڈ اف اینمی۔
- 16:27 And you will find that your enemy has become your dearest friend. اینڈ یو ویل فائنڈ دیٹ یور اینمی ہیز بیکم یور ڈیئرسٹ فرینڈ۔
- 16:33 It means that according to the Islam, enemy is your potential friend. اٹ مینز دیٹ اکارڈنگ ٹو دا اسلام، اینمی از یور پوٹینشل فرینڈ۔
- 16:39 No enemy is permanent enemy. نو اینمی از پرماننٹ اینمی۔
- 16:46 Enmity is not a permanent phenomena. اینمیٹی از ناٹ ا پرماننٹ فیناومینا۔
- 16:52 Enmity is not a permanent phenomena. اینمیٹی از ناٹ ا پرماننٹ فیناومینا۔
- 16:58 No enemy is a permanent enemy. نو اینمی از ا پرماننٹ اینمی۔
- 17:04 So every enemy is insaan. سو ایوری اینمی از انسان۔

- 17:17 enemy is not a Satan. اینمی از ناٹ ا سیٹن۔

- 17:29 So turn this potential into actual. سو ٹرن دس پوٹینشل انٹو ایکچول۔
- 17:36 Why fighting? Why war? Why killing? So your enemy is your potential friend. وائی فائٹنگ؟ وائی وار؟ وائی کلنگ؟ سو یور اینمی از یور پوٹینشل فرینڈ۔
- 17:42 So try to turn this potential into actual. سو ٹرائی ٹو ٹرن دس پوٹینشل انٹو ایکچول۔

- 18:38 Fighting is a temporary phenomena. فائٹنگ از ا ٹیمپریری فیناومینا۔
- 18:45 And peace is a permanent phenomenon of Islamic society. اینڈ پیس از ا پرماننٹ فیناومینا اف اسلامک سوسائٹی۔

- 31:11 He conveyed this message also to his, to his tribe. ہی کنویڈ دس میسج السو ٹو ہز، ٹو ہز ٹرائب۔
